Ellinwood
We might be able to sneak in a 90+ high at the start of the month before the cold front rolls through. Lack of shear suggests there won't be that much severe ahead of the front. Temps look nice for the back half of next week!
Eskimo Joe
I just hate this humidity. It's disgusting outside right now. I stepped out to do some yard work a few minutes ago and I already feel like the humidity glossed over me. It's not that bad outside in Gaithersburg. SLPressure
Get all your outside work done now through Saturday. Sun through Tuesday don't look to be much fun with low 90's and dews in the 70's. But then the pay off starts on Wednesday. Can't wait!

nw baltimore wx
Ahhhh....September! We made it! There's not a season that I don't enjoy, but fall is pretty awesome. It should be pretty nice after tomorrow night's frontal passage.

WVclimo
One of the best thunderstorms of the summer rolling through here. Thunder and lightning for about an hour with the slow movement. Then an inch of rain in about 20 minutes. No wind, though.

Mrs.J
Big lightning flash just to my south. Looks like I am getting split with the storms tonight as one popped up to my north about 30 min ago. ETA: southern Frederick Co is starting to get a lot of action now. Right in the middle of 3 cells. The one to my SW may come over.

EastCoast NPZ
Escaped Aug w/o a single 90F day, and then nail one on the first freaking day of Sep. #@!$. Tomorrow will mark yet another. Was in Front Royal and a massive T-storm raged from 4 to 5 PM (when I left). Made it to Middletown where an all-out delgue was in progress. Rain started tapering off at the truck scales headed north (as usual). Rain literally stopped at the entrance to my neighborhood; not a single drop. Miserable weekend of weather. snowfan
Looks like the heart of the action is staying between DC and the bay. If we're going to get some rain, this is the perfect time of day.
MN Transplant
Congrats, south central VA. Looks like you beat me last night, though I assume the best whiffed you to the SW. 0.08" here. DCA: 0.12" IAD: 0.21" BWI: 0.01" BWI the loser yet again. Somehow squeezed out 0.6". The dog woke us up grumbling at the thunder, and you could hear the rain coming down good. Easily our biggest rain in well over a month. We needed it. Hope we can get a little more today before things cool down/dry up or a while.
Ellinwood
Hi-res models are not too enthusiastic about our storm chances this afternoon/evening, despite the nice Cu field that has developed overhead and to the N+W. We need shear.
