88F today... dew point up to 67F this hour...  yucky  ...

Geos-  How is your pond?  Do you have to add a lot of water?  The pond down at Riverside is funky colored..like almost blue.   The river here is very low...lots of plants growing on the exposed banks, which is probably good thing.

I let the hose trickle overnight. The downpour on Saturday morning helped out a bit - recharged the ground moisture. I'll get a picture tomorrow.

It would definitely help if it would rain every 3 or 4 days.

30's at the 7 am reading in eagle river wi. while down here along the tropical coast had mid 60's.   Sucks in early fall for low temps being an ice puss living this far south and along the lake for insult.  Looks like Tropical gets an extra month of summer the way this GFS pattern looks if you like below normal temps.  I guess its better to torch months now instead of summer and winter.  Enjoy the 50's tonight as it looks to be some time before we see them again.

Down to about 63° this morning. Air is drier today, so it feels much cooler. Cloudy and 66° right now.

Yep, better to torch in September then in October or November imo.

Some of our past harsh winters had mid/late fall torches, foremost among them being 07-08.  In my opinion you don't want to bottom out too soon, because it's difficult to get solid snow events in October or early November no matter the setup.

I was thinking along those because I don't want to the lake to torch late into the season. I'd rather chill that off in October.

Looking like it might stay under 70° today!

Nice pond...  water temp must be up there?

Nice day today...allergies were a lot better today.

I sneezed so hard the other day i broke a blood vessel in my eye...that isn't the first time that has happened during allergy season.

Water temperature for the most part is around 70°, except in the area where the sump pump water comes in. Bit cooler there. Have a bunch of frogs in there this year.

That sounds like a really forceful sneeze if you did that!

Today was nice and all but the mold; I believe, was bothering me.

High of 69°

Tuesday is looking like MKE's best chance at 90's. The GFS has 850mb temps near 20C and some pretty deep low-level mixing. If we don't get any precipitation between now and then, we will be approaching 3 weeks without measurable precipitation so  mid-90's wouldn't surprise me.

Geos, those are some nice pictures of your great looking yard and pond.

Bowme, I'm disappointed in you in downgrading your avatar. I mean going from Frankie to Miley, come on.

If we aren't going to have exciting weather, it might as well be like today, just picture perfect.

Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. Steady temperature around 30. Light and variable wind becoming north northwest 5 to 10 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches possible.

It's that time of year again

Haha, yeah BowMe what's up with that!

50.8° imby now. Dewpoint just dropped a degree. Calm winds still.

Crickets are chirping slower tonight.

Wow, really crashing there.  Still 64 here, but the dew has dropped about 10 degrees from earlier, back to 55.

There was a fat cicada clung to the back door when I left for work this morning.  His days are numbered, as a freeze will probably be happening within a month or so.

North Central and NE IN down into the upper 40's this morning. 49° here.

Nice and cool going out to get the paper. (Yes, I'm old fashioned, I still read the paper).

It looks to be another Chamber of Commerce day with sunny skies, low dews, light winds, and highs near 80.
