Geos
88F today... dew point up to 67F this hour... yucky ... Geos- How is your pond? Do you have to add a lot of water? The pond down at Riverside is funky colored..like almost blue. The river here is very low...lots of plants growing on the exposed banks, which is probably good thing. I let the hose trickle overnight. The downpour on Saturday morning helped out a bit - recharged the ground moisture. I'll get a picture tomorrow. It would definitely help if it would rain every 3 or 4 days.
weatherbo
As expected, the north woods got chilly last night. As of now, I have 42 at my house but went into Ellsworth for some breakfast and my car registered 40. Bellaire is down to 39 as of 6:30 Pellston,
BowMeHunter
30's at the 7 am reading in eagle river wi. while down here along the tropical coast had mid 60's. Sucks in early fall for low temps being an ice puss living this far south and along the lake for insult. Looks like Tropical gets an extra month of summer the way this GFS pattern looks if you like below normal temps. I guess its better to torch months now instead of summer and winter. Enjoy the 50's tonight as it looks to be some time before we see them again.
Geos
Down to about 63° this morning. Air is drier today, so it feels much cooler. Cloudy and 66° right now. Yep, better to torch in September then in October or November imo.
wisconsinwx
A very nice day shaping up thanks to NE winds and Lake Michigan.

Yep, better to torch in September then in October or November imo. Some of our past harsh winters had mid/late fall torches, foremost among them being 07-08. In my opinion you don't want to bottom out too soon, because it's difficult to get solid snow events in October or early November no matter the setup. I was thinking along those because I don't want to the lake to torch late into the season. I'd rather chill that off in October. Looking like it might stay under 70° today! Geos
DLL (and everyone else)- Here's what my pond looks like today. Water within a couple inches of the top, also really clear given there hasn't been a hard rain to stir up sediment. Temperature is going no-where! DAFF
Soya beans are starting to turn yellow the last few days. Fall is definitely in full swing. We will be carving pumpkins before long:)
daddylonglegs
Nice pond... water temp must be up there? Nice day today...allergies were a lot better today. I sneezed so hard the other day i broke a blood vessel in my eye...that isn't the first time that has happened during allergy season.

hawkeye_wx
Temp approached 90 the last two days here. We should see 90s at least three of the next five days. Still little if any rain in sight. zzzzzzz

Water temperature for the most part is around 70°, except in the area where the sump pump water comes in. Bit cooler there. Have a bunch of frogs in there this year. That sounds like a really forceful sneeze if you did that! Today was nice and all but the mold; I believe, was bothering me. High of 69°
cyclone77
85 today with dews in the mid 60s. Point has 3 out of the next 5 days above 90 here as well. 93 Tue.
Brewers
Tuesday is looking like MKE's best chance at 90's. The GFS has 850mb temps near 20C and some pretty deep low-level mixing. If we don't get any precipitation between now and then, we will be approaching 3 weeks without measurable precipitation so mid-90's wouldn't surprise me. IWXwx
Geos, those are some nice pictures of your great looking yard and pond. Bowme, I'm disappointed in you in downgrading your avatar. I mean going from Frankie to Miley, come on. If we aren't going to have exciting weather, it might as well be like today, just picture perfect. A-L-E-K
Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. Steady temperature around 30. Light and variable wind becoming north northwest 5 to 10 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches possible. It's that time of year again

Geos
57°/50° already at 8:30. A characteristic of September that I like is usually the temperature drops off fast after sunset, even if it was in the 80s during the day.

Brewers
Down to 55, dew points in the upper 40's helping us cool off quickly tonight . If winds stay calm, RAC may dip into the 40's for the first time since early June.
Geos
50.8° imby now. Dewpoint just dropped a degree. Calm winds still. Crickets are chirping slower tonight. Edit: 50.1° imby at 1am. Upper 40s for sure by dawn.
cyclone77
50.8° imby now. Dewpoint just dropped a degree. Calm winds still. Crickets are chirping slower tonight. Wow, really crashing there. Still 64 here, but the dew has dropped about 10 degrees from earlier, back to 55. There was a fat cicada clung to the back door when I left for work this morning. His days are numbered, as a freeze will probably be happening within a month or so.

(Yes, I'm old fashioned, I still read the paper). It looks to be another Chamber of Commerce day with sunny skies, low dews, light winds, and highs near 80. stormtrackertf
It's funny how out in the plains there are Heat Advisories, and Frost/Freeze warnings for the Northeast...but here in the great lakes, we're just enjoying seasonably mild weather.Looks to heat up for the region Monday/Tuesday though.
