It has definitely been warmer here recently than in areas farther northeast.  We hit 83 today and should be at least a couple degrees higher Friday.  Next week is looking pretty warm as well.  Of course Saturday's rain keeps getting drier on the models.  The Euro is down to <0.20".

It has been generally pleasant, but with the drought here and pathetic hurricane season it sure has been boring.  Let's hope winter is a little more interesting.

Picture perfect fall weather to me. Lots of sun, cool nights and delightful afternoons. Looking into the future not much change coming for some time.

One thing is for sure the apple trees are loaded as well as the cones on the Pines. Wet cool spring and early summer is to thank for that. Wonder how this bounty translates to winter weather ?? Is it natures way of increasing reproduction chances or preparing for a harsh winter ?? Time will tell.

Already above 80F with hurricane winds.   Looks like rain on the parade tomorrow.

Extended forecast looks amazing... 70Fs and 50Fs...  wow.

Its still insanely dry here...  Only thing saving us has been a ton of morning dew that doesn't burn off until about noon some days.  The lawn is actually looking pretty good in spots that aren't dead (lots of those)...  mowed yesterday for the first time in ages.

Peak temp has been 71° so far. Really nice day again.

I arrived down at the lake front at about 1:37pm right about when the spout became wrapped up. Still wishing I would have went south to North Point Marina (the bay right below the border).

83 today here.  Lots of farm equipment out on the highways the last week or so.  Always fun getting stuck behind a big combine on the way into work lol.

Nice baroclinic zone out in the Plains for the first time this season.  Temps in eastern Nebraska are in the upper 80s with howling southerly winds, while out in the western part of the state a cold stratiform rain is falling with temps in the low 40s.

84F here..record is 86F...we could have done better but a band of clouds moved in later int he afternoon.  I can see the edge of thicker clouds out to the west...beautiful sunset this evening.  Took a hike in the woods the past hour.  Really not a lot of color change locally...going to get going fast me thinks in the next week.

You guys have been plagued with heat on that side of the lake, its probably slowing down the leaf change.

an absolute beautiful morning... not nearly as chilly as the past week was.  sat on the deck, watched the sunrise with a cup of coffee in hand.  temp was 48. going to be a beautiful day!  Cleaning off the deck and putting away Summer stuff and blowing some leaves.  I intend to enjoy the warmth while it's here.  October will change the game!

Shield of rain **** the bed pretty good before making it in here.  Only picked up 0.05" from this rain "event".

Western Illinois- Home of Iowa's sloppy seconds lol.

lol. I know that Ohio posters (buckeye, et al.) sometimes feel that way in the winter with some storms that nail us in Indiana. Enjoyed a summer-like day with light winds and a high of 83.

I sure hope so, Geos. We really need the rain here too. A lot of plants wilting...

Well regarding the plants, a lot of them are well on there way to dormancy. Even the ones I've been watering, they're going starting to fade - like the ferns. Luckily there's been some locally heavy rain in the last few weeks.

Next run of the RAP still holding onto the rain.

Touched 80° imby today, but that was it. First 80° in 17 days.
