harrisale
May end up being one of the hottest days of the year around the Greater Toronto Area. Environment Canada has issued a humidex advisory and the City of Toronto has issued a heat alert. YYZ temperature record for Sept. 10 is 34.8C (94.6F) set in 2002. Currently sitting at 30.9C (88F) with a dewpoint of 23C (73F) at 1:00pm

OHweather
Overachieving here, hitting our forecasted high by noon. As long as no pesky lake breeze pops up, records will be falling. 92 at CLE at 12:51. The record of 93 should be tied if not broken by a degree it looks like. Higher dewpoints must have been shoved further south/east overnight.
Stebo
KMTC up to 94 last hour, KDET/KFNT at 92 and KDTW at 89.

DAFF
Just got in from washing cars and watering sod all morning. Heat was impressive to say the least, reminded me of mid summer washing as the sun crested the horizon you knew it was going to be a scorcher. Got my 300 cars done in a few hours, watered sod and flew home to the pool.
Stebo
KMTC up to 96, if anyone has a chance at 100 today it would be them or maybe KYIP which is at 94 currently
Powerball
It's funny seeing KMTC (Mt. Clemens) of all places out torch everyone in the area. KDTW is ONLY at 91*F and KDTW is at 93*F. The dewpoints are failing to mix out as much as previously expected.
Chargers09
Sure looking forward to storms that will break the heat tomorrow. Slight risk for day 2 now.
Hoosier
94 here which is the hottest temp of the year. NAM forecast soundings had mixing to near 800 mb (16C) so given that and where things are right now there's a good chance we add 2 or 3 degrees. Powerball
Sure looking forward to storms that will break the heat tomorrow. Slight risk for day 2 now. It could be one of those sneaky days. I know the models have been hinting at a surface wave developing along the front and moving through just after peak heating.

It'd be a great way to usher in colder temps and more boring weather at least.
OHweather
CLE has already hit 94 which breaks the record and ties for hottest day in the summer. 95 or 96 seem in reach.
cyclone77
Up to 96 here, but rise is slowing. Think we've fully mixed out now, so we may fall a degree or two short of 100. Sterling still doing well, up to 99.
harrisale
Just hit 90 here, dewpoint approaching 76. If we can hit 34.9C (94.8F) at YYZ we will both break the daily max record as well as tie the hottest day of 2013.
Trent
CLE has already hit 94 which breaks the record and ties for hottest day in the summer. 95 or 96 seem in reach.CLE actually hit 95 already based on the record report issued a few minutes ago.How high can it go? 97 seems like a possibility. Edit: the only time it's been hotter this late in the season was 98 on September 12, 1952 and 96 on September 13, 1952. So we're definitely flirting with hottest late season temps on record. OHweather
CLE actually hit 95 already based on the record report issued a few minutes ago. How high can it go? 97 seems like a possibility. Yeah just saw that. Wow. The latest 95 degree recorded in Cleveland was September 29, 1953, so right now although we've broken a record and hit 95 we aren't in any kind of all time territory. Glad I'm in Athens although it isn't necessarily cold here.
weatherbo
Oscoda, down on the Huron coast is the hot spot in APX with 96 degrees due to downsloping. Currently 87 here.

Hoosier
Record high for LAF is 97 so we have a chance to at least tie that. IND broke their record of 95...sorta got lucky as it was one of the cooler record highs for this part of September.
Chicago Storm
Temps starting to level off in many areas. 94 at ORD the past two OBS. Might struggle to Skilling's call of 96, with probably no chance at the LOT call of 98. Not surprising though given it's only about 20C at 850mb. cyclone77
Hit 97 earlier, down to 96 now with some scattered cu developing. Looks like 99 will go down as the hottest of the year (Aug 30). 97 yesterday and today is still pretty impressive for almost mid September. Stebo
93 currently just one below the record, some other hot spots locally are 96 for KMTC/KVLL/KDET and 95 for KYIP
OHweather
CLE at least 96 so far today. The only day now that's been hotter this late in the season was 98 on September 12, 1952. Yes, so I guess this is rather impressive. 9/13/52 was also 96, so only two times has Cleveland been this hot or hotter this late. CLE has been sitting at 96 for two hourly observations and downtown (BKL) and CGF have been sitting at 97 for a couple of hours so we'll see if CLE has an intra-hour bump in them today. We've managed 90 here in Athens which is warm enough but like child's play compared to up in Cleveland Edit to add: Impressive mixing across Northern Ohio to get that hot...850mb temps of +21-22C today which struggled to yield low to mid 90's during our July hot spell.
