Brewers
Very hazy here with onshore flow still. If we can get the sfc winds to to veer this afternoon we're going to warm up quickly
Geos
Mesonet sites inland are showing winds are generally under 10mph, so the lake breeze might keep up all day. Holding steady at 79°.

wisconsinwx
Gfs ensembles actually seem to be indicating the cooler air will stick around for the duration of the 6-10 day period. The euro also has the cool air linger a bit.

hawkeye_wx
101 in Des Moines, 98 here in CR, upper 90s many places across the state. This is September 9th isn't it? One positive... the dewpoint started out at 70 this morning, but has mixed down to the low 60s. Des Moines' dewpoint is down to 59. The last intense heat was oppressive due to mid 70s dew, but this one feels more like last year... hot, but bearable.

cyclone77
Don't think we mixed out as well as some surrounding areas today. The dew stayed mainly around 70 here. My 97 was actually cooler than MLI, who tied the record of 99. I'm usually right on par with Sterling where it hit 100. Really thinking tomorrow we'll make 100 though. stormtrackertf
Cool and crisp low 70's here in Detroit today thanks to precip and cloud debris, but its actually cleared out and is pretty nice now. Feels strange to know two days of potentially record breaking temperatures are ahead! And then, temps struggling to make the low 60's... gotta love the blurring the lines between seasons in the Great Lakes. Brewers
MKE has climbed to 84 this evening after winds turned offshore. With 925mb temps near 30C advecting into the area overnight its going to be difficult to cool down. Edit: RAC just jumped 7 degrees the last hour, impressive... wisconsinwx
The temperature actually rose after dark. I didn't expect it to drop, but for it to rise after 7pm was a bit disappointing. It now feels disgusting outside, thankfully we have no sun to worsen the swamp *** feel.
