Beyond there today's 12z guidance continues to show warmth returning next week and lingering 9/18 - 9/21. Potential late season (outside) chance for some 90 degree readings thu/fru (9/19-20). Beyond there an overall warmer pattern looks to continue with ridging into the east and a deeper trough into the west. we should see cold fronts but with less frequency and less bite the next week to 10 days.. I'll enjoy this before the next warm stretch comes in, hopefully the 90's are at least done with. The CFSv2 is going for this too. It won't be in the mid 80s, but it'll definitely be in the upper 70s for the first 10 days of October. That's still about +6 to +8 for the day time highs. SMQ has hit a high of 64 today, while the high was forecast at 72 degrees. If the clouds clear out, then perhaps we may see some late-afternoon high temperatures.
