The roller coaster is on its way down with the bottom/coolest day likely sat and next tue.  Beyond there today's 12z guidance continues to show warmth returning next week and lingering 9/18 - 9/21.  Potential late season (outside) chance for some 90 degree readings thu/fru (9/19-20).  Beyond there an overall warmer pattern looks to continue with ridging into the east and a deeper trough into the west.  we should see cold fronts but with less frequency and less bite the next week to 10 days..

I was wondering why the heat fans were absent today, it was the lack of anyone hitting 90

87,88 with high humidity is certainly another dog day

didn't miss a beat with lawn cutting yesterday as we got like two drops around noon. Lawns drying up nicely despite last nights storm that moved through

If the generally +EPO pattern decides to lock in ala the Euro weeklies, then the cooler

temperature departures over the next several days will be the lowest in a while.

Yup. The CFSv2 is going for this too. It won't be in the mid 80s, but it'll definitely be in the upper 70s for the first 10 days of October. That's still about +6 to +8 for the day time highs.
