calculus1
The Mars Rover captured these photos of the two moons of Mars, Phobos and Deimos, in the same shot on August 1. This is pretty incredible! http://www.space.com/22394-mars-rover-curiosity-martian-moons-video.html
Tyler Penland
So I realize I am incredibly late to this thread, but I saw the video when it was released and it really is awesome. I've spent the better part of the past month and a half becoming rather familiar with the night sky as I have been helping out at the school's 16" Cassegrain telescope. Astronomy and other-worldly stuff is incredibly cool. On a somewhat related note I saw this article in PopSci which has introduced me to an entire field of awesomeness. Been working to see if we have the ability to duplicate some of her stuff using our scope and spectrometer stuff. http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2013-09/heather-knutson
