CoastalWx
We have continuously dropped at Andover. 63.7F and that is the low.
Typhoon Tip
Love this air mass! I wanted to mention two days ago about a BD air mass potential, when the modeling unilaterally depicted that big high up there passing NE of Maine, while a cyclone twirled seaward underneath. That's usually like powdered BD just add water right there... It's now merged with the primary baroclinic field over the lower MA and continues to press S. Typhoon Tip
Did you know that the SSTs out in the outer Harbor, and up through Coastal Maine and the outer Cape and so forth are actually warmer than this air mass being pulled down from NS ? CoastalWx
the sat looks like a Feb sat with onshore OES and under the radar snow Yep, a nice downslope dandy for Tolland where he'd be watching the dusting of snow melt off his driveway under dim sun while you, Will, and points east get snow. ORH_wxman
That's a classic CAD looking NE flow type airmass...where it banks up against the eastern ORH hills. We often get that during icing events in winter...or if we have a cold-tuck.

Tropopause_Fold
the whole N hemispheric pattern just seems weird...from the equator to the NP. lol. not on the euro...just overall.
CoastalWx
Congrats Vim Toot? What a weenie run. My Canadian prairie high. Fun to look at anyways.
CoastalWx
the whole N hemispheric pattern just seems weird...from the equator to the NP. lol. not on the euro...just overall. It's building a massive block on this run, but the NW Canada ridge is there and well modeled for over a week. Of course it's the op run, but some signs on the ensembles that it gets this amplified. I talked about that a while back in this and the Sept thread that the first real CONUS cooldown could happen later next week based on the H5 pattern. I just don't know how much actually make it into the US.
Tropopause_Fold
lol at the euro....that clipper coming thru the OV would be a nice late bloomer and probably a widespread 3-6"
Ginx snewx
4 wave hemispheric pattern on the weenie day 8-10 euro now that will be interesting.
CoastalWx
lol at the euro....that clipper coming thru the OV would be a nice late bloomer and probably a widespread 3-6" 12c 850 isotherm probably would be the 0C line. Of course it's weenie la-la land, but sign of the times.
