CoastalWx
wierd to see a storm moving WSW like that... Outflow dominant since winds aloft are extremely light. Storms will almost have a mind of their own.

Yeah that OFB helped spawn the western storm in Wolcott/Waterbury. I've been able to watch the new towers form south of me as the whole thing propagates east. Ginx snewx
Almsot forming along the seabreeze or some sort of wind shift Definitely along a front check out the vis picture I posted earlier and the genesis of these storms, air flowing from the south, se up the hills , then you have these outflow boundaries intersecting with sea breeze fronts, pretty neat genesis. weatherwiz
Will we see the same thing happen tomorrow with showers/storms? Yeah seems like a possibility, expect there may be a bit more speed to the storms movement. Instability though may be much weaker than today so we'll see. powderfreak
These days of humidity and sunshine always cause the peaks to start sporting their top-hats. It's like as soon as a small cumulus forms over the hilltops, it just explodes straight up. Not huge towers but these popcorn sized showers are all over the place.
