Decent amount of Cape in the -10c to -30C zone.  Could have some storms with tons of CG

Some some early towers poking up over the altostratus level.  Sat shows them aligning with the tropography; ridge lines.  We are in free ascent with nearly full sun.  Temps at BED jumped 4 per hour since 12z and they were 80/66 as of the top of the hour.  FIT all the way to 82 ...  I see a cap there, though, as the first turn over of the BL should limit rise rate.  83, 84, or 85 ...something like that.  But with DPs in the mid 60s, and these temperatures likely to do like yesterday and bust the machine guidance slightly cool biased, might be worth it to modify a sounding or two.

Definitely some orographics at play too. Probably a band of shwrs from SW NH into ORH hills into CT and then Berks.

Yeah I was just telling Wiz' that you can really see them from here in Ayer.  Nice wall of towers.   I'm thinking about heading out to film some of them, but I got to do this damn job searching shtuff -

Good luck with the search, man.

Yeah, it sucks.  I wish I could find a Meteorology based job -- you know. I have this degree, and what I feel are some decent special skills and insights into the workings of the Atmosphere.  And weather in general is a life passion, but I have never worked as a Met.   How bizarre.  I probably could be an okay energy forecaster.

I suppose a major relocation would need to take place, because unless you are at WSI there's not much around here.  I have found a couple places, but they are always looking for upper Masters and PHD level candidacy -- to which of course I am not.   I am well spoken, and can deliver complex theoretics with the best of them.  Maybe I should have gone to g-school;  f me!

I don't know.... I'm old now.  I don't look it. But it's not like starting over.   So, I'm just doing the same old and finding database software gigs.  There are a lot of them out there. I have been like 7 or 8 interviews since this layoff, just no offers.  A lot of them were for like 60 or 70% fits, and they were found via recruiters. That, in retrospect, is part of the problem. These db recruiters are trying to score the 30% on the first year's salary as commission, so companies are going to expect the candidate to be wearing a sari, with a halo over their head, ...pulls bread and fish from empty wicker basket for the hungry and impoverished.  You know?  walks on water ....

I'm not that savior.  I'm just a midland DB coder, with C programming language, and a friendly disposition in person.  Though I know I come off a bit heavy handed and acerbic here, I really am quite easy going in person. That's really who I am.  A flawed being with something to contribute.  Anyway, using the Internet is tough, because the job mkt is inundated with recruiters.  It becomes a war of attrition in trying to locate direct line-of-sight to hiring managers.  That's what I need.  The network!

Nice pulsing action over the Monadnocks

Try grad school or even go get a teaching certificate and become like an earth science teacher or professor
