Its a real question? does it sit that close to the water that the evaporating water warms it?

No, it just heats up during the day and does not cool at night. Logan's dailies..esp high temps are also driven by the ocean. So, continental airmasses may bring cooler air in, but temps are still kind of mild when compared to the avg highs for Logan. Night temps also don't cool very well. I mean look around even at COOPS. It's not like Logan has been in some random heat pocket.

Even GON and BDR sitting in the middle of swamps are significantly negative

BDR and GON can radiate a little bit...more so than Logan airport anyway.

They also do not torch as much on WNW flow as BOS does...so if we get a lot of continental airmasses on that vector, then BOS will skew milder...combine that with some good radiational cooling nights that BOS doesn't take advantage of and you get a muted departure versus others.

ORH is the opposite. They will come in cold on CAA airmasses like we've had in August. They were the coldest departure in SNE up until a couple days ago when we started the WAA and BDL snuck past them with a rain-assisted temp bust. Though ORH does poorly in rad low temps. They are coldest in CAD and CAA.

if they had that it must have come after dark. That didn't affect the temp bust yesterday I don't think. It was the anvil blowoff from the storms to the south

Yeah clouds/virga busted their temps...it was still rain, just didn't necessarily fall on them when it busted.

Oh no..they'd be over New England..We'd be directly in the ring of fire..It wouldn't be dry fropa after dry fropa

Of course. I doubt it will be totally dry, but not sure about your ring of fire. That can never be sure of until hours before...only useful to talk about any potential.

76/50 at 2pm...amazing outside.

Nobody likes this weather... 69/47 at 2pm at the local MVL.  High for the day is 70F but all hourly readings have been holding in the 67-69F range this afternoon.

.SHORT TERM /7 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY/...

.SYNOPTICALLY QUIESCENT CONDITIONS AS

LARGE SFC ANTICYCLONE BUILDS ACROSS THE NORTH COUNTRY THRU THE

PERIOD...RESULTING IN A GREAT STRETCH OF WEATHER. DAYTIME HIGHS IN THE

70S WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS MAINLY IN THE 40S...THOUGH IDEAL RADIATIONAL

COOLING CONDITIONS WILL PUSH A FEW OF THE NORMALLY COLDER SPOTS

DOWN INTO THE 30S BOTH FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY NIGHT. DENSE

NOCTURNAL FOG ALSO ANTICIPATED IN THE FAVORED RIVER VALLEYS

TONIGHT AND SATURDAY NIGHT...ESPECIALLY CENTRAL/ERN VT. SKIES WILL

GENERALLY BE CLEAR AND STAYED NEAR MOS CONSENSUS ON TEMPS/WINDS.

2-M DEWPOINTS WILL BE IN THE 40S...SO AIR MASS WILL HAVE THAT

EARLY AUTUMN CRISPNESS TO IT.
