Damage In Tolland
Just iso stuff if at all. Will have to break out sprinkler this weekend sadly. Just bone dry out there. Thought I could go all summer with no watering but 14+ days of no rain has taken toll
HIPPYVALLEY
What a nice evening. 78/69 Few hours of high humidity had me sweating mowing the lawn but very tolerable day. (Unfortunatley had to cut 3/4 acre of grass with a walk behind because the rider mower went on the disabled list.) Best August Evah' continues. Some rain would be nice. As Ryan or Scott (can't remember) said recently, Aug/Sept can be feast or famine wrt rain.

powderfreak
Sept/Oct can be real rainy with leftover tropical remnants.Or it seems like it can be the opposite...like a 5 week long, dry Indian Summer under high pressure.I just pray we have a active or exciting fall with some big nor'easters. I love those wind-swept 45F rainy days when you are watching NFL next to the fireplace on like an October Sunday. Nothing says winter is coming like wet leaves all over the driveway. Then there are the folks that hate that because they think we are using up our stormy/cold pattern too early...like the atmosphere knows we have an allotted number of coastals and we shouldn't use them up in October. That sounds like a terrible October. I'm all for a whiplash fall. Dry and mild, right to cold and stormy please.

Dry and mild, right to cold and stormy please. haha, I don't know why but I love the overall feel of a fall nor'easter. The anticipation it brings for winter and the smell of woodsmoke while sipping spiked cider and watching football... I just don't get in that mood when it's like sunny and 65F all October. The thought of hundreds of thousands of wet leaves down on the lawn and driveway makes me stressed and irritable . Knowing all the work ill have to do to clean them up. Nothing about that reminds me of winter

Am I a hobo? No that's called being resourceful. Your kid doesn't care where it came from, he just knows he has a slide and a sandbox now haha.
