CapturedNature
Up to 85/62. Warmest it's been since July 24th, when I hit 87F. BDL stalled at 84° as of 2PM. Time is ticking to get that 90° reading and a potential heat wave.

radarman
83 here. A bit hazy for the first time in a while. latest GFS ensemble spaghetti hinting at the possibility of a cutoff next week as the eastern trough buckles with rising heights in the NAO region, big pac trough approaching the coast and fast flow in Canada. Almost a weird backdoor warm front look.
scoob40
ORH up to 78F at 2pm, good chance of cracking 80F for the first time since July 29th. Yep. A more pertinent question might be "Does KMPM get out of the 70's today".
CapturedNature
BOS up to 86. Warmest of the month so far. Eastern parts are turning out to be the hot spots this afternoon over the normal places in the CT River Valley. BOS & PVD seem to be taking the lead. Tstorm723
ORH up to 78F at 2pm, good chance of cracking 80F for the first time since July 29th. Any way to see if Worcester has had an August without an 80 degree reading? Still not there yet...78.9 so far. I can't believe I am still waiting for 80 degrees in August. Usually it is 90 that is hard to crack.

August 1963, 1982, 1986, 2000, and 2008 all hit 83F for their warmest temp...that was the lowest August maximum I could find. powderfreak
80/56 here with full sun except some orographic debris rolling off the mountain once in a while. It actually feels a little bit like summer out... and its actually shocking how warm 80 feels in the sunshine in August, lol. This weekend's forecast is already back to low 70s and upper 40s. I'd sign up for an August like this any day... a brief period of 80s and the majority of the month spent below normal. The best part is we just spent the first three weeks of August (one of the hottest, most uncomfortable times climatologically) with a cool pattern. If only every summer featured a 3-4 week period of -2 to -4 type weather during the climo hottest time of year.
Quincy
No 90's today, although Boston was 86° last check. A few tickle 90° tomorrow and then a cool-down starts in time for the weekend...
ORH_wxman
Euro is coming in with a bit better looking heat dome for next week..specifically next Wednesday/Thursday. It seems like the 12z runs push the idea while the 00z runs back off. It is not as bullish as a couple days ago, but it does sneak a brief period of +18 850 temps in here on WNW flow which would give a solid shot at most hitting 90F outside of the highest hills.
