the nam 4k seems to like today/tonight.. nam likes tomorrow?

Not only composite, but max intensity and where the red colors start at 43 DBZ.

The only way I'll be excited about this setup is when I'm under a SVR and there's a big ol' storm rolling up to my doorstep. Shear's not as bad as most of the storm days we've seen this summer, but it's still far from great.

Obviously, we'd take it, but the "low spot" in the line is pretty comical compared to the month-to-date precip image I posted yesterday.

seems like most stuff progged on the computers of late has been to put us on the SW side of the decent precip (which we then miss) so maybe we're in the right spot this time

The WRF runs from 00z were uneventful because they dove the clusters to the west, but the NAM and to a lesser extent the 00z Euro and the 12z GFS popping a surface low over us makes it more interesting.
