NEAR TERM /UNTIL 8 PM THIS EVENING/

2 PM UPDATE...

AREA OF RAIN CONTINUES TO MARCH EASTWARD AND IS JUST ABOUT TO

CLEAR CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS SHORTLY...PROBABLY BY 230-3PM. BACK

EDGE OF CLOUD SHIELD ALSO MAKING STEADY PROGRESS AND WEST TO

EAST...AND SHOULD BE ACROSS CAPE COD AND NANTUCKET BY 5 PM OR

SO. ONCE SUNSHINE APPEARS CU/SCU WILL DEVELOP AND SOME OF THE GUID

SUGGEST A FEW SHOWERS/ISOLATED TSTM POSSIBLE WESTERN MA/CT.

HOWEVER WINDOW FOR SURFACE HEATING IS GETTING SMALLER AND LACK OF

CONVECTION UPSTREAM ACROSS THE CATSKILLS AND POCONOS SUGGEST

PROBABILITY OF SHOWERS/TSTMS IN WESTERN NEW ENGLAND IS VERY LOW.
