Early August Wx Discussion

CAA coming a bit later here, as is usual within NNE, with some mid 70s temps and eastern Maine dews still 60+ though they've dropped to around 50 here in AUG. Even with wind tonight, I expect my thermometer to drop to near 50, then 40s tomorrow night. So far in August, I've had 6 days each with lows in 40s and 50s, with the only 60+ minimum coming in last Friday's tropical deluge.

Thru 8/13, NNE stations (CAR,BGR,PWM,CON) are running within a few tenths of -3F compared to climo. I think that will remain the case going into the weekend, before the warming starts eroding the deficit. My guess for those locations is about -1 for the month.

Over 1k?

Most of the town is near 800 feet, but there are spots over 1000. They average about 70 inches per year...maybe slightly higher.

Winter Hill is on the border between Holden and ORH...so the town is right next door.

at 14-15C 850's, the op might have 90s but the ENS sure do not and yes its ready, was in it yesterday.

The ens have had some weenie cold members in the extended the past couple of days which are probably bringing down the mean. I'd guess that the median is a little higher. It looks really warm to me. Hopefully we get the comfy air back in here after d10 or so, but I hate having to wait for it in lalaland. Summer's last hurrah incoming?

Nah, today was the last day like this until October.

Kevin is contemplating a +12 September.
