Typhoon Tip
Do you mean Friday? I was looking at some soundings and they're pretty impressive wrt to veering winds, although the column looks very saturated. Heavy, heavy curvature on the hodographs too, especially up in NY where GFS goes wacky with 500m2s2 0-3km SRH. Yeah Friday looks interesting too... Thursday is more of NAM thing... moneypitmike
I'll get a station up on Wunderground in the fall. This neighborhood radiates really well so it will be interesting to see the differences with you up at 1k. Guarentee my neighbor will fire up his woodstove. lol Great--I just got an e-mail from convectivedevelopment.com regarding discounted Davis. Not sure if that's reliable or not...... I suspect that when Kevin returns he'll be in full winter mode and never acknowledge any of his pass rants about a non-stop 20-40 day string of heat and humidity and suddenly Tolland's observations will be mirroring Worcester's. Just guessing. 69.6/45 off a high of 70.
moneypitmike
Way off topic---but I just had a big tom turkey take flight. It's amazing that they can fly.
wxmanmitch
MAV MOS putting out 43° F for PSF and 41° F for AQW. AQW can radiate really well as they're in a deep valley, whereas PSF is a bit elevated and exposed. It has ORE at 42° F, so it will be close. I'm going to bet that AQW comes in the coldest in SNE. I bet this means Pete's glen may touch the upper 30s...
dendrite
When is the last time early aug (aug 1-10) had a dewpoint of 39 in BOS Torchtown and taunton both 77 I had to go back to 8/1/1987 to find a day amongst those dates with multiple hours of 39F or lower. 2006 and 2007 were close with 40F. CoastalWx
Dorchester-weymouth corridor? LOL, good spots around here, but not where I am on a hill. The OWD-TAN area probably will do well. Even KMVY should drop like a rock.

CT Rain
Wow, the 18z GFS is down right dangerous looking for Friday if we can add some diabatic CAPE Given the time of year it's a pretty wild setup
Typhoon Tip
Given the time of year it's a pretty wild setup Yeah I think we take advantage there in having such a deep negative anomaly press through S-SE Canada, compressing and ultimately speeding up the flow. There is even a small vortlet/wind max in there centered on 18z passing right over the area and DPs over 70... With nearly west component at mid levels, and S flow below, CT and western MA look out if the sky ends up more optimisitc in the morning!
ORH_wxman
Any records stand out for being in jeopardy tonite BDL at 47F has a shot I think...though I'd probably say it finishes a tick above that. CON at 40F prob has an outside shot too.

Typhoon Tip
Yeah I went 48 Tough call... DPs are bouncing back now that the mixing is unraveling. If they come back to the upper 40s and we decouple, maybe the DP and T can fall together in the form of a heavy dew night.
powderfreak
BTV's forecast for overnight lows, mixed with bordering areas of neighboring CWA's....looks like widespread mid 40s, but nothing near record breaking at least up here.
