Dollars to donuts I'll be one of the warmest readings on the pdfamilly site tomorrow morning.  Meanwhile, Bob will be looking for his footsie pajamas.

I'll get a station up on Wunderground in the fall.  This neighborhood radiates really well so it will be interesting to see the differences with you up at 1k.

Tonight is really when the true cool readings were going to be felt. It's tough to get very chilly several hours after fropa in early August. Thicknesses aren't even down to 552, so it's certainly not the coolest we've ever had...but notable for early August.

Guarentee my neighbor will fire up his woodstove.  lol

holy crap. you jonesing yet?

gorgeous morning. 51 for a low, heavy dew.

Yeah we all are here at the ski resort...a morning like this gets the blood pumping. we all start thinking about making snow and winter operations....less than 3 months now till snowmaking season. And it can start snowing within another month...20-30% of August/Septembers see at least a trace of snowfall.

will be funny to see the reaction when the humidity comes back-will be a lot of denying and stating this "model is wrong" or "climo says we're done" and many references to 04 and 09.  (09 interestingly had a warm August after a cold June and July)

It will come back, heck Thursday will turn muggy again, but 85/70 is a lot better than 95/70. Parts of SNE might even be in the 70s..esp up this way. If the muggies return, it will be brief and not terribly oppressive.

I don't think anyone is expecting this to last into October, would be nice but I'm sure we will have a couple of more warm/humid days this summer.

Like Coastal said, we'll have a few later this week...but would think at some point, the pattern switches to something warmer/humid for a period of time-these patterns seem to last 4-6 weeks....

Six weeks would put the switch about Sept 1.  Kinda late, but it still could happen - in 1999 I had a very warm July followed by August a tiny bit below avg.  Then Sept was my warmest of 15, by 2.5F, with lots of high dews; the 5 mildest Sept mornings in my years here were all recorded 9/6-10/99.

sure that is possible but it wont' feel the same in september as it did in July for sure, so besides people fighting about normal vs. above normal days and AWT and ASOUT and AKT it won't be that memorable.

It may change in late August or September, but at least through the 20th or so....tough for me to see a legit pattern change to constant warm and humid. Some signs it might turn warmer after, but this whole "turning warmer" seems to be consistently pushed back.

And by the time we hit Sept 1st, daily max's begin their downward spiral.  Sure, maybe we get a couple upper 80/ low 90s days but it's all relative.
