powderfreak
62.7/57.8 here right now after a -SHRA. Hello Fall. Yeah it's just downright chilly when these brief showers move through...down near 60F with breeze and rain. It keeps rebounding back up though to the mid-upper 60s. CT Rain
Radar looks good... 71.4 currently. Cores are struggling to get up much past 15kft. Really need the storms to start popping cores up to the -20c level to get some better hail.

Should improve a bit as there's a little more moisture and instability in SNE?
CT Rain
Should improve a bit as there's a little more moisture and instability in SNE? A bit maybe - best mid level lapse rates are north near the core of the cold pool so it may be a wash.

Typhoon Tip
Euro agrees with the GFS on that D4 morning pocket of obscenely chilling thickness, in a saturated column, up over Manitoba. I wonder if they mix in some flakes as far S as the 50th parallel, at a relatively lower elevation in August. Maybe we ought to call this "Awegust"
CapturedNature
well when you get a little, we use these in our laundry room to keep the air moving when the AC is off to help prevent moisture build up. 25 bucks http://www.walmart.com/ip/Holmes-Twin-Window-Fan/9204076 Save yourself a few dollars and get a box fan...more CFM's and you can practically exchange the air in a room pretty quickly. Just put it in the window and let 'er rip. Bye Bye 80° room if it's cooler than that outside. It's also made in the USA. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Holmes-Box-Fan-White/20604417
moneypitmike
It appears that the showers have hit the Pit as the temp has now dropped to 65.9 pretty quickly--though the bucket hasn't recorded anything yet.

CapturedNature
73° awesome degrees outside!!! I'm just enjoying this stretch of weather and looking forward to the next couple of nights. I just returned from our churches picnic and I heard nothing but people talking about how great the weather is. So much for the argument that everyone prefers hot & humid weather in the summer.
