I don't know if CR hit 100 intra-hour.  Des Moines hit 104 last hour.  Beyond the temps, the dewpoints are interesting.  Ottumwa is currently 101 with a dewpoint of 58.  I'm assuming dry air has been mixing down.  Just up the road in Waterloo the temp is 92 with a dewpoint of 77 due to moisture pooling along the front.  That's quite a difference.

CLI is out and shows a high of 100 at CID.

99 here today, 100 at Sterling.  MLI another record at 98.

Doesn't feel nearly as bad as Wednesday did, with dews in the upper 60s.  Can see some nice thunderheads to the north and northeast, but don't know if they'll make it this far south.  Pretty warm air blowing in from the west in the mid-levels.

The storm north of Dekalb is a beast.  That thing is moving due south.  Tops have been over 60kft at times.  Wouldn't mind sitting in that notch south of Belvidere.  Not out of the question that thing could tornado in the next half hour to hour IMO.

EDIT:  Nevermind, didn't realize the outflow was already undercutting it.
