Brewers
I think this is what you were getting at. august_coolshot.png Also helps to have that omega block over western Canada which keeps the trough over the GL and NE. Also watch the vortex over the Arctic circle. The Euro and GFS have been hinting at possible energy pinching off and heading into Canada and possibly the GL. Hoosier
Not one 80 in the forecast here in the next week. Some days have 850 mb temps that would support 80s though so we'll need clouds/precip to keep things in check.
Geos
Little bit foggy entering the first day of August. Still no 80s forecasted.
Brewers
Today is probably our best chance to hit 80. Even though 850's are marginal, full sunshine will promote good low level mixing.

Geos
Good chance of hitting 80° here as well. 77° right now. Think there will be too many clouds tomorrow to be warmer or as warm.

Brewers
79 at both RAC and MKE. This makes the 10th straight day of a high below 80 at MKE. Better chance to break the streak tomorrow with warmer 850 temps but the possibility of more clouds.
Hoosier
Don't you have some drought maps to post? I'll be all over it if D0 expands/worsens in Indiana. I thought 2.5 was reasonable since there's none in sight and that will take us to the middle of August.

Even if we punt until mid month, there's still another 30 or so days to get three more 90's. First half of September around here is still prime...
