Ginx snewx
EC ens have the 1" line running about FVE-BML-AFN-ORH-GON which is a bit west of the op. Coastal sections get 1.50-2.00"+. Someone will get a few inches. Funny to see the NAM way east now. Nam had zero rain right now, oops. Typhoon Tip
This 18z NAM runs is probably the worst performance relative to reality since the science developed computer modeling. Oustandingly wrong with stunning panache

Typhoon Tip
May not be worth mentioning but some of these runs hint at a weak warm core vortex developing S of the coastal wave, then brings it N across the area over the weekend with some additional heavy rain. CT Rain
Scotland area looks to be getting hit as hard as Norwich More rain but less flooding. It's pretty rural out that way - especially compared to Norwich - so flooding probably is pretty minor/isolated.
joey2002
Scotland area looks to be getting hit as hard as Norwich Yeah, Scotland and Canterbury have been getting crushed, just rural with not a whole lot of people living there. If this firehose was over a more urban/populated area of the state, the results could have been catastrophic.

It's pretty rural out that way - especially compared to Norwich - so flooding probably is pretty minor/isolated.I gotta imagine that once you get 6" of rain in an afternoon that you are flooding very severely...whether people live there of not. I mean that would be creating severe flash flooding, landslides and stream blow-outs in hilly terrain. 6" is an incredible amount of water for a few hours time. HIPPYVALLEY
lol. If this were winter the W. MA / GC crew would be b*tching about getting shafted on qpf. Drove RT 2 from Cambridge to Greenfield this evening and went from torrential rain inside I-495 to light rain past Fitchburg to misty in Gardner to bone dry in the Pioneer Valley.
