What a fail of a forecast today

:axe:

Love these unpredictable events. I wondered this morning when your birds started converging, just kidding. On my way to work this morning this sudden heavy shower came through. That line stopped dead to my west , I could see it out my window, it just kept expanding sw to ne, cool stuff. Great pics and stories coming out.

Yeah I was totally expecting some spotty downpours but this was a total surprise to me. Hell the 6z GFS and NAM didn't even have measurable this afternoon over the Norwich area.

I don't think anyone expected such cool weather never mind flooding rains. I'm living in the Pelham Bay area of the Bronx, and I've been sitting at 64/59 with some sprinkles spitting out a slate gray sky. It's such a dramatic reversal from last week when the A/C at my work in Croton could barely keep up with the 95/70 conditions. I feel the need for a jacket now in mid July.

I posted earlier today that the Mesos had a max in ECT, they were just 18 hours off LOL

My feeling is bos-pvd gets in on this too...

Radar suggests to me boston will ger drenched later this eve

EC ens have the 1" line running about FVE-BML-AFN-ORH-GON which is a bit west of the op. Coastal sections get 1.50-2.00"+. Someone will get a few inches.

Funny to see the NAM way east now.
