CoastalWx
ec ens are still very pleasant the next 2 weeks with some potentially nice summer cP airmasses at times. Hopefully the worst of the heat and humidity are behind us as the step down begins. Just catching up on models...looks great overall.
#NoPoles
so, it's a week out, but next Saturday we are having a cook-out to celebrate my moms 70th b-day...anyone got any weather guesses?
ma blizzard
I will say without Blizz stirring things up, we've seen like 1/4th of the posts that we do when he's baiting us to get us talking. I sort of miss the stupid banter/disco. Though we aren't discussing the dew point 24/7 now...no long range guesses on the dews, no Tarmac vs. home arguments, no micro-analyzing dews, etc. The lack of dew discussion this week has made me realize just how much time we've spent this summer discussing Td's. Summertime dews are the new snow. I would definitely take actual meteorological discussion as opposed to that ..
CoastalWx
Weird feature off of NC. Looks like a surprise +RA SE MA?
Typhoon Tip
That's an impressive -EPO ridge up over Alaska... temps into the low 80s up there this afternoon.
powderfreak
Don't worry, I saw Kevin sitting on top of an oak tree as I drove through I-84. Looked like he was looking for high dews. Weather station duct taped to the front of a row boat, while paddling around in a swamp looking for the highest dew?

Look at the entire hemispheric change and cooling, really starting to wonder if we enter fall quickly this year. Canada just did not relinquish its cold holdover from last year. N. OF PIKE
Ya ginxy ur pattern change has clearly and unquestionably won out. I see no heat on horizon. It should speak volumes to anyone who thinks otherwise that forky and rev have no posts. Where is kev, sulking. I was all for talking about a record monthly humidity streak bc it was so damn humid for so long but that has clearly changed in a huge way and im loving it

Omega block, where does Storm Vista get CFS images, you mentioned this yesterday but again today I see nothing of the sort, are they getting CFS1 images? these are the official CFS 2 forecasts . they have been consistent since March for that time period. CoastalWx
I'm sure you all know this, but the CFSv2 is supposed to be performing better than the regular CFS as far as I know.
weathafella
Icecap is a bit more robust this year vs 7/27/12. It should be interesting to see what happens over the next 6 weeks of melting.

weathafella
What does every one consider an early fall? I worry about it because its tough to sustain for 6-7 months.
40/70 Benchmark
here here Take that for what it's worth because I'm hardly a viable source of info at present.....out of touch with this place, and seemingly the rest of the universe. lol
40/70 Benchmark
What does every one consider an early fall? I worry about it because its tough to sustain for 6-7 months. Latter August.....maybe torch October, then good to go.
weathafella
Latter August.....maybe torch October, then good to go. Somewhat 2002esque. It got chilly in September only to torch late into October which flipped like a light switch mid month leading to a snowy November, December, February and March.
