Late July Pattern Change - Wx Discussion

CT Rain

Recommended Posts

Pro met pig pile against a helpless lurker.

Pushing 8" for July here after over 9" in June. 2.18" since midnight. Wet times.

You're probably pulling ahead of me up here now for the May-June-July period, haha.

I'm at 6.33" for July (after over 5" in the first 10 days of the month), 8.48" in June, and 6.21" for May...21.02" for that period.

I'll have to look when I get home. May was something like 4 1/2", June 9 1/4", and July is 7.72" so that's about 21 1/2".

Hopefully we can carry the wet period through this upcoming winter...haha.

As was discussed by JSpin and Tamarack in the NNE thread recently, it's pretty easy to see how our snowfall is directly correlated to precipitation amounts in the winter. Just bring the QPF and MaNature will bring the snow, temps are like an afterthought haha.

On its own right now but the 12z Canadian is awfully ugly for this weekend

The 12z GGEM takes a short wave currently located over Mississippi, sends it off the NE FL coast by Thursday morning and develops it into a wave of low pressure that then tracks straight up the coast brining the entire region rains on Saturday and especially Sunday.

OH BOY, here we go

These are nice images. I'm assuming you have GRLevel. I have it myself and there are always new things to learn with it. That being said, how did you insert that storm motion vector? I've been trying to figure that out for quite some time now. If you want you can PM me or just post it on this thread. Thanks!
