The 90*-day streak has ended at the Pit. Climbed to 90.2 at 12:30 this afternoon.

Sure was hot at the Buckland pool.

In spite of the humidity, it's not so bad here with the breeze at the moment.

88.0/72

Man it really takes an act of God to get 90 at your spot haha...that's the first day in a while for you. I've felt like even when it's 90F at 1500ft up here at the ski resort you come in with like 88F down there.

Funny it hit the wall at 1pm. Wind direction is critical for 100, although you would think some airline employee could fart and tick the ASOS to 100.

Yeah... I'm on the fence with this.  21C at 850 isn't as convincing as some 24C episodes we've seen in the past.

It's been plaguing this ridge that it never really had any continental processed air all along.  I didn't see one Sonoran expulsion of air get into this thing...not really much of any High Plains air, for that matter, either. The first 2 or 3 days of this there was a trough migrating west along, and it really clipped any of that type of air from getting involved.   Just about every 100F episode I can recall temps were convincingly on the plus side of 21C at 850mb.

Get a load of the MET MOS' -- On average, they busted too warm every day for the 6 days of this.  As we said earlier in the week, it's worth asking if the unusual retrograde WAR scenario might be throwing climo for a loop.

Correction:  I think the MAV may actually have been better, but not by much

It's the trade-off for not being able to radiate at night.  Take the good with the bad.

86.5/71.  Looks like a night of crap and then back to more cmofortable condiitions.

lol no wonder you enjoy this heat so much. Your indoor temp is lower than the outside dew point.

For all this touting you should be sleeping in a tent outside to fully embrace the heat, or turn your AC off for a week and then see how excited you get about it.

 at loving and hyping high heat and dews from a climate controlled house.

LOL..I don't want to have my clothing and furniture attached to me or pools of sweat on the sheets.  It's hot outside and comfortable inside. I never said I want the inside of my house the same temperature as the inside of my mouth
