How would wunderground have a 1:06pm ob unless there was a SPECI? Do they dial into the ASOS station?

I imagine they have a NOAAPort satellite feed and are just parsing the obs as they come across. Either that or they are scraping obs in near-real time from a web site that does, or even just hitting the NWS FTP cycle files every couple of minutes.

i don't think PVD is going to make it...looks like a wind shift to SSW their shortly.

They rotted at 98F from last hour which is also their 6 hour high through 18z...they need 100F to tie the daily record...but that wind is turning more SW, so I think you are right that they might not make it.

yeah you can see the seabreeze boundary midway through the state now...almost to warwick. they may go SSW and drop to like 94F or something. they'll have to jump soon i think if they are going to get there.

swamp signal on the euro after day 5

That's an awful lot of easterly flow up here to be considered very swampy for D5-7...wet? Yes. Maybe if the D7 low goes inland we get the subtropical airmass, but the Euro tracks it over SE MA.
