ORH_wxman
How would wunderground have a 1:06pm ob unless there was a SPECI? Do they dial into the ASOS station?
CoastalWx
Wow at BOS. Looks like they were able to keep a more westerly wind which is the important factor. They'll get 100 no doubt.

snowman21
How would wunderground have a 1:06pm ob unless there was a SPECI? Do they dial into the ASOS station? I imagine they have a NOAAPort satellite feed and are just parsing the obs as they come across. Either that or they are scraping obs in near-real time from a web site that does, or even just hitting the NWS FTP cycle files every couple of minutes. CoastalWx
A day many will want to forget forever. Not too shabby up north. I have 94.4F, but may be a tick or two warm.
ORH_wxman
i don't think PVD is going to make it...looks like a wind shift to SSW their shortly. They rotted at 98F from last hour which is also their 6 hour high through 18z...they need 100F to tie the daily record...but that wind is turning more SW, so I think you are right that they might not make it. ORH_wxman
ORH up 2F to 92F now...still an outside shot at tying the 95F record, but I think its just about maxed out there looking at the other obs. My guess is 93F will be the high.

ORH_wxman
swamp signal on the euro after day 5 That's an awful lot of easterly flow up here to be considered very swampy for D5-7...wet? Yes. Maybe if the D7 low goes inland we get the subtropical airmass, but the Euro tracks it over SE MA.
