powderfreak
I can not wait until the first day after the pattern change with high dews for Kev to say AIT. ITS inevitable. Well he is going to use dew points to signal if the change happened or not. To him it doesn't matter how the pattern arrives at dews of 60+, (it could come from east flow, NW flow, SE flow, whatever), just if it does then nothing has changed. We've never seen someone so obsessed with a dew point until this summer, lol. We will need to revisit this in winter....if the dew is 20F and then a pattern change comes bringing us a different flow but the dew remains 20F, did anything really change? ROOSTA
The debate will rage but cpc maps have "BN" normal temps in the 6-10 period, 10-14 has the NE US as "N" compared to the "AN" regime already in the books. ECWMF has the ridge building west with heights substantially lower in the east. But its summer and wtfcares. IT'S A SORCHA!

Baroclinic Zone
92/70 Getting there. HI is 97F. I have not cracked the 100F threshold thus far in this heat wave.
CapturedNature
ENDLESS TORCH-WE MUST TORCH TO LABOR DAY I heard months and months of high dews until November....Maybe just month and month? lol Meanwhile, still waiting for my first 90° reading this heatwave. My temp has been hovering at 88° for several hours but we have several more hours and days to go.
forkyfork
the euro is slower with the front saturday and slightly less impressive with the cool air behind it
CoastalWx
92/69 with a freshening E breeze (120). How often does that happen at BOS! 120 wind direction crosses the runway and field by about a mile so plenty of time to warm. And those temps mean the seabreeze is extremely shallow. I've seen 90s there with that wind direction in days where the ridge s overhead. Pretty cool. Also, they will go SW soon i think. On my way into work, winds were SW in downtown. forkyfork
92/69 with a freshening E breeze (120). How often does that happen at BOS! maybe it's more of a thermal trough than a sea breeze?
CoastalWx
As long as winds are NNE or so, we are looking nice on the coast. Although, I will be up north.

CoastalWx
Tonight will be interesting. There is a slight chance storms could tickle NE MA after midnight. Also, if we indeed have quite a line move through ME, it may try to send a boundary south tomorrow morning.

CoastalWx
When does the heat and humidity come back? I could see dewpoints struggling below the low 60s where you are.
Tstorm723
90.4 right now...91.1 Tuesday 90.4 on Monday. Yup...first heatwave of the season here at 1030'. Now if it would only rain...only .79" so far this month. Think KORH will top 90 again...89 at 2 PM.
Brian5671
I could see dewpoints struggling below the low 60s where you are. Dews that low would feel chilly I think it's been a full month since we've had a dew lower than
CoastalWx
Dews that low would feel chilly I think it's been a full month since we've had a dew lower than 65 If the euro is right, the front is well south and you have a lot of onshore flow. Not the driest wind direction, but probably comfortable temps.
