I haven't seen any damage or good video. Looked like there could have been turning in the video, but that may be FC. Just can't say to be honest.

Video I saw looked like a wall cloud that might have had a funnel a couple times but certainly nothing to the ground.

Yeah tough to tell when you are driving at 50mph. Too bad they couldn't slow down and we could have got a better look at what it was.

The storm survey matched up with what the videos showed however, and I have yet to see anything definitive that would cause me to disagree with it.

I got to see a TOR..so now I know what to look for.

Prepare for rash of fakenados sightings in the Great Fakenado Outbreak of '13

Treetops beware

Seriously, our MCS in Buffalo was nothing to sneeze at, two rounds of continuous lightning lasting about 90 minutes total, lots of CTG, wind gusts above 55, some half inch hail. And now the temp and dewpoints are dropping.

My question is this damage swath long enough to meet derecho criteria? :weenie:

Anyway here are my pics taken just off Exit 18 on I-89 in near Milton, VT

Eyewall,

Do you have higher resolution versions of the photos? I'd love to  do some cropping.

Thanks, Ken

Wow, nice video, those trees were really getting rocked!  Were you standing outside while filming that?

Thanks guys and I was filming from my car when the worst hit. As for damage there were limbs and trees down in the area and down to at least Burlington itself.

I can attest to the lightning comments as well, when the line came through Detroit we had 3 hours of continuous lightning with a ton of CG and CC spider lightning on the underside of the storm.

I thought in the first few seconds there was some decent rotation, but that doesn't tell you a whole lot. I'm sure the survey team looked long and hard and came up with the best they could find. Like you said, nothing evident to really disagree with it.

Today is junk. Could see a few pulsers or maybe a disorganized line later on, but the cloud-cover and low level nonsense this morning is going to be rough. Even the more impressive helicity values move east too soon, with shear displaced further north. Typical southern New England.

Already full cloud cover out here.  Sun was gone by 7am.
