powderfreak
Bump bump I'm stoked I think I got some decent video. The noise is incredible. Not sure if I'll get power back tonight though. Sounds like town is a sh*tshow right now.
eyewall
Wow forget nocturnal that line roared through and was well organized with a nice rear inflow jet. Burlington got hammered. One tree took a light pole down with it. I chased near milton vt to get the bow apex. Footage and pics later. weatherwiz
Alright...pretty much no posts from Ryan, Scott, or any other mets about tomorrow. So I guess it's nothing? So wtf is the limiting factor his time? Is it b/c bulk shear is only like 25 knots?

ROOSTA
More storms popping well out in front. I can't believe it's 86F with Td about as high as it can go at 22:00, a lot of instability to work with.

powderfreak
Wow. Went through with a whimper. Brief downpour, little bit of gusty winds and some thunder. Wish I'd gone up to KMPV to see it roll over the Worcester Range. I just drove to a friends house and Stowe got crushed. I think this is my first ever legit severe storm. Trees down everywhere, saw snapped power poles, roads blocked by trees. And this young tree was just getting owned by the winds at the time...looks like a palm tree getting laid out sideways. NECT
I'm on vacation.. Lol. 55k posts, and you'll just be ignoring a frontal passage with potential. I'm not looking at the sky tomorrow either. Typhoon Tip
too much anomalous heat for the atmosphere to handle when you got westerly mid level flow moving along at over 40kts. When I was a boy in the MW ... these kind of hot summer nights often strobed lightning in any thunderstorms. I wonder what the blink rate on those cells, is... Quincy
I've been having my doubts about tomorrow...however I have not looked at much today beyond the 12z NAM. Was out of town. Will be reviewing 00z and based on the thinking first thing in the AM may decide to go out... Update: Quick glance at 21z SPC SREF and it's a bit more robust with severe probs. Now up to 25% for parts of SNE.

Quincy
There are two things to consider for tomorrow and possibly 3... 1. Pre-frontal storms could fire from SE NY into SNE ahead of the cold front. 2. Cold front attempts to develop a strong squall line back in central NY and towards the Albany area. 3. If pre-frontal is a dud, perhaps the cold front could move fast enough to reach parts of SNE NW of I-84. SREF looks to keep the 30kt bulk shear NW of CT. Helicity values do increase on the models into NW CT and western Mass., so...
