How can you see a tornado in that last vid?  Just fast driving and some dark clouds.  What are you seeing (with your trained eye) that says tornado in that last one that Kev posted?

it's got a lot of motion in the beginning.. not sure how the last 45 seconds are the best. ;)

I can tell in the beginning, that's the more conclusive part. I mean it's not great video, but you can tell something is there.

Kudos to Ryan. He mentioned a chance last night

I think we were talking about the possibilty late morning near noon along the WF. This stuff formed ahead with a weak trough and leftover s/w from PA. I joked with Ryan that we could see a breezy point scenario..lol......typical stuff near the water in LI sound with these little spinners. I think the env this aftn was unstable enough where the low level updrafts could stretch and tap into some existing shear in the low levels. There was shear, but at least to me...surprised so many were able to produce mini tors.

It's more luck. 10 yrs from now you may crying for missing stuff like Wiz is.

Ive waited 40 yrs to see a TOR. Ill never see one again, . For me it's all about stuff like this. You guys know me. This is what I live for. Sure it was likely an Ef0 and not a huge deal But I will always remember this day. As sick as that sounds. To stand in my driveway and witness that today was unreal.

10 years from now global warming will be a thing of the past. The ozone layer will be fixed, and we will be having good ole' fashioned SNE weather like they write stories about.

We all have been fortunate enough to have some cool wx. Tornadoes are more of being in the right place at the right time. Last year Messenger almost had his John Deere blown into the ocean from a tornado.

Now just end the dews.

Tornado warning here, but so far it's just extremely heavy rain.

Reports of trees down on Bunker Hill and South St...do you live near those areas? If you're close would you be able to snap some pictures? Thank you.

That one hit close to my house. There was no rain. It was crazy. Driving around after I noticed a lot of tree dame but very little structural damage (thankfully). Here's a few I snapped tonight:

South Street about 1/2 mile east of Bunker Hill Road.

This was sheet metal about 40 feet up in a tree on Snake Hill Road

The damage path did not seem very wide to me. It will be interesting to see what the final rating will be.

Congrats to Kev and company. After living up in that corner of the state for 19 years it's pretty wild that two tornadoes (albeit weak) touched down in the same afternoon.

I was on a couplet in Watertown around 1:30 and thought I might see my first tornado. All I got was some scud and rotating low cloud bases. My initial instinct was that it was a funnel cloud, but I reviewed footage and since I can't confirm it, I'm not going to say I saw one for sure. Either way, it was a wild day. I'll upload a few lightning pics in a bit that I got when I reinterpreted the storm in Windsor.
