Modfan
Congrats on the siting! I took a ride over to Union & Woodstock to see if the earlier warned cell had verified but didn't see anything, at least where I went and took several roads that it would have passed. No calls for the Fire Dept's in Woodstock or Thompson from it, maybe any damage isolated to Bigelow Hollow? Heard Dudley Ma FD out with a few houses hit by lightning. Modfan
The crazy thing was it was never warned. It must not have been otg more than a few minutes. Does anyone have a radar grab from about 4:20? I remember you posting that, thinking you were BS'ing, then finally warned in Union
CoastalWx
I've been legit waiting my whole life to see a TOR. And to actually have it happen 1/4 mile from my house is just unreal. I was watching it on radar and it tightened up right overhead. It got super black outside but wasn't raining at the time. The sky to the SW was bright and almost sunny. I still can't believe it There was barely any rotation. It may have been real low level. Just a fluke spin up from some sort of localized thing. It was a legit meso up near Union. But congrats though. You always wanted one.

Damage In Tolland
There was barely any rotation. It may have been real low level. Just a fluke spin up from some sort of localized thing. It was a legit meso up near Union. But congrats though. You always wanted one. Can you post the radar from when it would have been OTG? I thought it tightened up literally right overhead and that's when I ran outside

CoastalWx
Check out the video.. there was lots of rotation though when you were looking at it.It's clear on the vid I meant on radar. It was real difficult to see any rotation but it sort of turned left an had an appendage. Who took the video?

Damage In Tolland
This ios exactly what the sky looked like on the first one that rolled thru here Very black, but very bright to the sw. not a green tint like you sometimes hear folks say. The thing that really sticks out for me is the leaves and debris I saw swirling around up about 100 feet and higher off the ground..There was stuff flying all around up there

Heard Dudley Ma FD out with a few houses hit by lightning. I went through there and saw nothing. I took 190 to 171 and the 197 across Woodstock. There was barely any rotation. It may have been real low level. Just a fluke spin up from some sort of localized thing. It was a legit meso up near Union. But congrats though. You always wanted one. I really thought that I would see some tree damage up there based on the signature but didn't see anything.

CoastalWx
The funny thing is that would a tornado even be reported if Kevin wasn't there? Of course it happened to spin up and drop a weenie right there. Talk about right place at the right time.

Cold Miser
Check this one out. That is so close to my hood. The last 45 seconds are great lol. Not exactly hard and fast evidence. Just some guys driving through a 30mph zone at about 70 following some dark clouds and seeing a few branches down. "OMG, that is a tornado!" lol. CoastalWx
lots of pictures and posts on FB at the time. Yeah it got some attention. I didn't know how brief it was because if it was only on the ground quickly...it may get confused as a microburst or something perhaps. That defitnely got some attention I guess. Cold Miser
That video was good. How are you finding these lol. How can you see a tornado in that last vid? Just fast driving and some dark clouds. What are you seeing (with your trained eye) that says tornado in that last one that Kev posted?
CoastalWx
It still surprised me that cell spun one up. But, the one in SE MA looked rather lousy too except for an appendage on radar.
