Ridge Builds In - Humidity Sticks Around - Wx Disc

CT Rain

That probably did it. I knew there was a reason to keep a sprinkler going 24/7.

This is the worst possible thing to happen. Now we have to hear all the high dew nonsense.

lol...high dews and Blizz sees a tornado after jackpotting all winter long in snowstorms. He should have no weather complaints for a while.

A tornado touched down about1/4 mile from me on MTN spring rd with that cell earlier. I saw it from my driveway. I could see it. There was all kinds of debris in the air. There is major tree damage at least over there. I will get over there when this storm ends

Smart phones have sweet cameras that also take video too.

Congrats!

18 z operational GFS has over 3 consecutive days of heights exceeding 594dm next week.  850s 19C....   Kevin gets his wish.   94/73 unrelenting.  And with heights so high and the ridge near-by, no thunder to cap temps.  Just an inferno, period.

At this point we just laugh, buy some extra rolls of TP, and bend over. Mother Nature will give it to us this summer it seems. Might as well not fight it and just take it lol.

Wow, what a great tornado picture. Its not one of those pictures where you have to wonder, is it or is it not. No way that is scud or some other feature. Looks legit to me! You should get that to the news stations in SNE, they love good weather pictures!

It's definitely solid with a good rfd slot.. tho as with most EC photos you have no real idea what's going on the last hundreds/thousands of feet to the ground.  wfsb has some good footage online.

Ill post some damage pics . Gotta get some dinner. It appears to me that it was a treetop TOR that maybe never hit the ground officially

Pretty clear from other video that it definitely was on the ground. Very sweet looking tornado for CT, actually, if those other vids are legit, and I see no reason to doubt. Very cool, wish I could've seen it.

That was such a rinky dink cell too. It had a little appendage at the last second though. It looked legit as it developed again SW of Union. Pretty cool. Congrats Kev, now lets end the dew misery.

Congratulations indeed!  This is what we all want, to see a tornado without anyone getting hurt or killed and without any major damage.  I'm so jealous.

I missed a legit EF1 or F1 by 2 miles back in the day in Brockton in the July 89 outbreak. Never knew it hit until I saw the news..lol.

That sucks so much.  Closest I've come was well probably last week when we had those few tornadoes in the Windsor area...or perhaps Wethersfield a few years back may have been closer actually.

I just returned from a trip to South Coventry where the tornado touched down in the vicinity of South Street and Bunker Hill Road. It looks to have been an EF0 with a path about 25' wide or so. A barn got demolished on South Street and a 50' spruce is about 90% uprooted on Bunker hill Road. Tree damage has that classic tornado signature of being snapped about 10' up from their bases.

Half of town is out viewing the damage as well as the news trucks from NBC and channel 33.

My pc died on me earlier this week, so I am on my laptop which does not have my camera software on it. I'll upload pics later this week, when I get my pc repaired.

I've been legit waiting my whole life to see a TOR. And to actually have it happen 1/4 mile from my house is just unreal. I was watching it on radar and it tightened up right overhead. It got super black outside but wasn't raining at the time. The sky to the SW was bright and almost sunny. I still can't believe it

Congrats on the siting!  I took a ride over to Union & Woodstock to see if the earlier warned cell had verified but didn't see anything, at least where I went and took several roads that it would have passed.

The crazy thing was it was never warned. It must not have been otg more than a few minutes. Does anyone have a radar grab from about 4:20?
