CoastalWx
It was July...and yeah, that was a fun day of high heat. I remember 2010 being more consistently oppressive though. Just give me heat and high dews with purple pixels on radar starting next Friday up there
Tropopause_Fold
Avg high here over the last 2+ weeks has been about 79F...not too bad. We've had a few nasty nights, but the evenings cooled down quickly and we just stayed at a stagnant 70-71F for hours. The only day where I really wished I had AC was last Friday. the days haven't been too hot here. a lot of 82-88F type of days...but we've just had so many days now with a dewpoint >70F. when it starts tickling 76-77F...that blows. Typhoon Tip
well WxHype is more right than wrong if the euro/cmc are right. front stalling further west on those models. euro clears most of new england i guess...but looks like its hung up over CC on friday then starts to wash out and slide back to the west over the weekend. up shot would be a better weekend. downside is kevin being right. Typhoon Tip
It's late but BOS making a late temperature run....up 8 on past 2 hours to 85/72. Long shot for another aoa 90? Thinking that would be tough on a S wind... clips some marine contamination.
joey2002
That summer was more high heat though. This one is massive dews. Yeah, the past few have been hotter, but this one is more humid.
ROOSTA
About 1/2 hr. ago noticed TCu's pass overhead, a shower just to the East and since then a WSW wind has picked-up. Definite airmass change. With all these storms dumping all around my hood has had but a few drops. Any rainfall will be nice, but not to much...
powderfreak
Yeah this summer will forever be remembered for months straight of high dews Months or weeks? That is the question...will this end with just a 3-week sweaty period, or does it continue through August and September? Got a little ways to go before declaring months of high dews. HIPPYVALLEY
2010 was worse here I think. 2010 was awful humidity out here with days like today. This year is already giving it a run for it's money though. I was doing stonework and if I recall it wasn't as warm but real wet. This is ridiculous weather, just walked 2 miles with the dog and boy (he rode) and it would go from bright overcast to tropical downpour for 2 minutes then back to brightening then 10 minutes later a short downpour etc. Yuck. I take that back , 2010 was way hotter, just looked at some old emails I had with my boss/co-worker about the brutal heat on some of our jobs. Started in May too.
