Yeah seems like it's just bad timing yet again...

Severe weather season is just about done for us anyways.  What a ****ty year really.  CT did though cough up 3 tornadoes but we really haven't had one fantastic setup.  We usually get at least one very solid setup but this year has been rather meh meh meh

Yeah those were "cheap" tornadoes.  Have we even had any 30% severe probs yet?

We still have a solid month+ of severe potential, but usually we have at least a few good setups by July.

extreme western sections may have been into 30% probs if I recall.  Although actually I think there was an outlook where 30% wind went well into CT/MA

Tomorrow would be rather interesting with steeper lapse rates and stronger shear aloft.  NAM backs llvl winds quite a bit.  Dews tomorrow though should ramp up to 70F or so and that will help yield to a moderately unstable airmass so one or two cells could become quite interesting for a few scans.

I'm really liking central MA tomorrow

Yeah I'm not worried about being unstable enough... just not sure about the shear and other issues.

Looks like the ULL may spark daytime showers, hopefully front stays where it is, although it may not be pretty in SE MA/Cape of GFS is right.

Yeah. The ULL is legit though. Lapse rates steepen as 500mb temps dive.

I think that would produce pretty widespread showers plus a lot of Cu.

Did you get anything? Looks like it died out over Charlemont.

11" of rain in June and now we can't buy a sprinkle here the past week. Everyone has their sprinklers going this evening. lol

Didn't see your question unitl now, Chris.  WE had pulled a few hundredths from tne NE Berkshire deluge, but to be sure the bulk had difficulty moving.  Then we got a little more later in the evening as the clouds cleared out.

Weekend has gone downhill fast... wow.

Well that blows.  As long as I can get the lawn mowed.  Perhaps I'll get a jump start on Friday afternoon.

Heading up to Marblehead this afternoon for my father-in-law's funeral.  My wife and her brothers will be taking her brother's boat and dropping his ashes at sea tomorrow.  Foul-weather gear may be in order.

67.7/67

8z HRRR begins to develop some convection in the Hudson Valley by late morning and pushes some decent looking storms into SNE/CNE.

It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

The cold front back over the Great Lakes may be too slow for anything significant east of western PA this evening.
