Kevin doesn't get it...it can be 84 with an E-SE wind.

Yeah... all PWS stations in SNE all have some sort of easterly component still.  Light winds but definitely all of them are oriented at least somewhat to the east (SE or NE), even down through Hartford.

Not one showing westerly side of the dial...low to mid 70s in NE CT though still.  Must be awesome at my folks lakehouse with 70F in Woodstock still.

Why can't you ever answer a question. It's not about WeHA . I'm just wondering if they move north. Scoots said he thought they would Twds dinner time

I really think the storms along the sea breeze front are the story today.

You may get something but I doubt it's anything too exciting.

Those showers on the east slope of the Litchfield Hills, Berkshires, and Southern Greens don't appear to be going anywhere quickly either.

Steering flow is weak SW at 850 but NW at 500 so they ain't going anywhere fast. Probably guided by outlfow, but might be tough to push farther north.

i hate days like this. a storm has to pop up overhead for you to get anything

This has flash flooding written all over it by later this afternoon...these are going no where.

They've been in really rural areas so far so the threshold for flash flooding is a lot higher. If that storm over Haddam or E Haddam were sitting on 95 or 84 the results wouldn't be pretty.

Eventually the outflow from these things will choke the storms and cut-off the supply of juicy air but for the time being they still look good.

Not to go unnoticed I bet that cell near or just south of Litchfield has easily dropped a couple inches of rain. Just sitting and back building

Meh on that one... it's core is really tiny. I'm more concerned about NE New Haven County around MMK.
