CoastalWx
I'm guessing the global pattern supported a BDF into SNE this time. Ginx said the moon phase supports it.
CT Rain
nice backdoor. saw it being referred to as a seabreeze front yesterday. lol. This morning it turned into a warm front too lol
Tropopause_Fold
if the NAM is right, friday is a really nice day. 70s/low 80s with low humidity and fresh NNE winds
Damage In Tolland
Are those storms in Western Mass terrain enhanced or just firing and moving across region? There doesn't appear to be much if any steering flow

There doesn't appear to be much if any steering flow Winds are pretty calm through the column. I think the hills will get a decent drink... probably not so much east of the river where the backdoor front has really chilled things off. Still 69 and ovc in Tolland! Tropopause_Fold
at least we are past the worst of the heat/humidity combo for quite a while. warmer again over the next few days but none of the nonsense we just went through...and then significantly cooler/drier over the weekend. hopefully that was the worst stretch of the summer. Damage In Tolland
All day process as the WF literally hangs up over you.In which case it's a win / win. Either I break into sun or I get storms to fire along the warm front. And either way dews hover near or over 70. #winning

I still think the concern of the front/ drier air this weekend is warranted. Wouldn't take much to have things shift NW with placement
