CT Rain
If your're expecting a dry refreshing weekend with dews in the 50's, why would any met also put raindrops in there? Viewers aren't listening to what mets say. All they go by is what they see. People are visual You don't really speak for most viewers. 99.999% of viewers don't spend their days trolling meteorologists on an internet message board when not at dance recitals. CoastalWx
He just makes it look like whatever he wants to. We know how his spinnnnnnnn works. As for the weekend still too early to eliminate rain from the forecast... don't want to flip flop on the forecast if everything slides back northwest on subsequent model runs. I could see some pop up stuff with the ULL nearby, but lets hope the front stays far enough offshore. Euro ensembles looked fairly dry.

weatherwiz
meh... lots of clouds. We should see a quite a bit of breaks of sun though I would think and differential heating may also act as a force for lift. Not everyone will get hit but coverage should be fairly scattered I think. CT Rain
All people remember of your forecasts are what you put down for numbers. You think they listen to what you say? Lol I agree. Especially in the morning. That's why the "shower" icons over the weekend are tiny and there's sun/clouds on both days.

Then he will understand I only make fun of your dance recitals on sunny days. As for having kids... maybe. I'm in no rush... have lots of traveling to do before I think about that. weathafella
Ot but the best part of having kids is conception....just sayin... Muggy. Morning but reasonably comfy temperatures. It looks to me Iike we stay above normal but not spectacularly so over the next 10 days on average.

Re: the clouds/rain drops and sun icons on long-range TV forecasts People see the rain drops and say to themselves that it is going to rain this weekend. This is true, as the forecast icon shows that it might rain. Sure it might be a slim chance, but it could rain. then they tell friends “I saw the forecast, and it is going to rain this weekend”. this is still somewhat true, there is a chance it could rain. Then those friends tell other people “it is going to rain all weekend”. then when it doesn’t rain at all, or if it is just a passing shower, they say to each other “so and so meteorologist sucks. He said it was going to rain all weekend” you meteorologist guys don’t stand a chance with the non-weenie public.

In the morning they're making breakfast, brushing their teeth, getting their kids up etc. So they may only grab a snippet or a quick look. It makes communicating the "story" more challenging but we try to do the best we can.

SJonesWX
Tuesday onwards is a roaster. Euro ens have been 90's last few runs unless they backed off last nite to me, 85-95 in July is normal to hot. 95+ i would agree is a torch

Certainly nothing seasonal or temperate but solid above and 90 plus for several days on the run

Certainly nothing seasonal or temperate but solid above and 90 plus for several days on the run It looks warm but definitely not a torch. The Euro throws out +20 850s like candy this time of year... yet we struggle to +18 by Friday. That's no torchhhhh.
