There was some discussion yesterday about consecutive days with "high dews" and after I downloaded BDL's daily data off the Wunderground site I took a look to see what streaks we've had in the past.  FYI, The oldest data that I was able to download was from 1949 so I don't have any streaks older than that.

It looks like our current streak is the longest in terms of temperature at 10 days with lows 69°+.  The previous streak from 1949 till now was 7/13-7/21/1975.  That period had a stretch of 15 days with lows above 66° which is probably the lowest you could go and still call it "upper 60s".  The longest stretch for 66°+ would be 7/6-7/24/2010 with 19 days.  We're at day 14.

In terms of dewpoint, BDL is currently in the longest stretch of dews above 69° since 1949.

Wow, awesome, thanks so much for spending the time to look over all that data!  I've been really curious about this, so I really appreciate it.  65 years of records obviously isn't "of all time" but it's still extremely impressive!

I wonder how soon we'll end the 10 day and 14 day streaks...

I think that's enhanced a bit from the morning complex of storms in the Gulf of Maine. In effect a bit of a backdoor front thanks to the outflow. Good news is that both sides of that boundary are being heated in eastern MA.

Yeah for sure. Was pretty cool on visible seeing that front push south....looked like it had a few lines of CU...almost g-wave accompanied.

Looks like we need a little more help aloft. Not nearly the violent look to the CU as we had yesterday.

Not a problem...it's just weather and data!

FWIW, I put BDL's daily data up on my Storm Monitoring archive site for future reference in case anyone else wants it:

It's the file called BDLDailyData20130704.xlsx

Man CT just can't get a storm lately. Radar looks awful. Hopefully Ryan and Scoots are right about storms after 00z

Wait for whatever is triggering those storms over PA to work into SNE. That's probably why some models held off till 0z/8pm to start firing scattered convection in your area.
