There have been too many months to count in winter and summer over the past ten years that have started a month with a +8 or a +10 type deal in the first week.

Heck in June the first three days were like +15 and we finished the month below normal.

Do you think he actually pays attention to that? He's simply just hyping for the sake of hyping. Saying "Wow" to a 90F temp in BDL in early July is like pimping a high of 25F at ORH in January...most would say "ok, tell me something impressive". The mins have been far more influential to the departures this month thus far.

I wonder if he was agreeing with LL about the first 13 days of March being really impressive with the huge torch numbers...I seem to recall us finishing that month below average.

There was some discussion yesterday about consecutive days with "high dews" and after I downloaded BDL's daily data off the Wunderground site I took a look to see what streaks we've had in the past.  FYI, The oldest data that I was able to download was from 1949 so I don't have any streaks older than that.

It looks like our current streak is the longest in terms of temperature at 10 days with lows 69°+.  The previous streak from 1949 till now was 7/13-7/21/1975.  That period had a stretch of 15 days with lows above 66° which is probably the lowest you could go and still call it "upper 60s".  The longest stretch for 66°+ would be 7/6-7/24/2010 with 19 days.  We're at day 14.

In terms of dewpoint, BDL is currently in the longest stretch of dews above 69° since 1949.
