CoastalWx
There should be some NE winds pushing SW ito ern MA...could be a nice setup for them.

It's Always Sunny
What do you mean? It's a parameter that represents ingredients for tornadogenesis. You can see it on the SREF website.

CoastalWx
That weak BDF may focus storms..perhaps into central MA too.

CT Rain
That weak BDF may focus storms..perhaps into central MA too. Better shear too eastern areas. NE Mass special. We'll see storms here for sure but I'm sort of meh on severe with wind fields going to hell during the day.
weatherwiz
I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a brief spin-up in NE MA today with the better shear and so many boundaries around. BOX did have mention yesterday of the possibility, albeit low confidence.

Usually those days with a weak boundary/seabreeze and high CAPE are those specials..at least out this way. Just a matter of where the front lines up. Tomorrow looks a little similar, maybe a little warmer aloft.
CoastalWx
Looking way ahead, we will have to see how the front stalls offshore and then whatever happens with Chantal...if nothing else, her moisture and how it interacts near the East Coast. Interesting times ahead.

Interesting times ahead. Yeah I could see the SOS getting even more sultan-like by the weekend/early next week. I doubt Chantal amounts to much in terms of a big TC for the east coast but the rain could be a big issue for a large area given the incredible positive rainfall anomalies over the last 6 weeks from FL Panhandle to CYUL. Yeah regardless of how strong she gets..her moisture alone could be an issue. Eh, just something to talk about anyways..hopefully Hurricane Kevin doesn't spin this into a TC impacting the northeast....
