  EASTERN HAMPSHIRE COUNTY IN WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS...
  SOUTHEASTERN FRANKLIN COUNTY IN WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS...
  WESTERN WORCESTER COUNTY IN CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS...

* UNTIL 330 PM EDT

* AT 300 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
  CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS DANGEROUS STORM WAS LOCATED
  NEAR PELHAM...OR 5 MILES EAST OF AMHERST...AND MOVING EAST AT 20
  MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
  PELHAM AND SHUTESBURY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW. MOVE TO A BASEMENT OR AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST

The cell near Rutland VT has had a impressive couplet for a while, surprised it's not even severe warned. Lots of spin with these storms today, kinda surprising given the apparently mediocre shear - I say apparently because obviously something is creating those mesos...

Saw that tower from my perspective about 15 minutes ago. It was pretty beautiful.....How high do you think that went up? Very impressive structure, lots of thunder, but no rain here. Maybe later this afternoon

looks like 40-50k. another small one popping now too just sw of downtown taunton. maybe due to outflow boundary.

That storm with the TOR looks like nothing on SRM.

 

 

The southern storm actually looks more impressive.

 

I was out chasing the southern storm.  It was awesome!! Very impressive rotation, I got some pics that I'll upload later.  Saw the TOR out in Amherst.  Haven't had a chance to review the radar data yet but my impression on a quick look on the phone was no tornado. Good shelf cloud, but the southern storm is a legit supercell.
