I always felt bad for inland folks when I lived on the beach in summer and now know why. There is little relief. I do enjoy the spoils of inland winter but in the summer I miss SRI tremendously, luckily I can be on my beach spot in Weekapaug in under 45 minutes.

I've always felt bad for coastal folks in the spring, and winter.  Fall is nice.

GFS shows it too... certainly wouldn't be surprised to see another ugly cut-off.

I'm going camping in upstate NY so I hope it's wrong.

Heh, not convinced over here.  The details of the mass fields don't really match up, so saying the GFS has it ...yeah, in so much as it has trough... but notice the GFS lifts it back out in like 12 hours prior to surging the ridge back west with abandon, meanwhile, the ECM attempts to bore a mere single contoured low through all the way down to the TV area...  That doesn't look intuitively right in it self.

I think it more likely that a negative node exist between the semi permanent ridging west, and the flexor Bermuda, and that the models are merely coincidentally error-ing too deeply in their own inimitable ways.

Trying to get a jump start on Kevin?

I'm in Arlington for the w/e for wedding.  What was last nights low temp at your house?  At midnight it was still brutal.

Tropical season predicts are crapshoots. Just interesting given the set-up.

At midnight it was 80°F, fans were useless.

Extremes are better. :P

I like winter extremes lol. I certainly can deal with it...just wishing it would be a hair cooler. No right or wrong answer....just preference.

About to put my butt in the water. Hades here. Lots of good spirits tonite. Tomorrow back to Boston. This spots gets surprisingly good snows, storms, and tropical.

It's a really nice and comfortable afternoon here at the Pit.

82.3/67 with a fresh NW breeze.

Same thing here, couple notches warmer around 87 here but dew is 66. Amazing day today, breeze is amazing, have all windows open. Have a door here that gets temperamental in high humidity so i laughed when I saw you post about doors not shutting.

Oh well many had it, btw i havent seen the btv wrf fail on convection yet. (Thou it must)

It does fail (often at times) haha but more so with synoptic and larger scale weather events. The model is great with any terrain generated precip or convection. Upslope events, convection like the last two weeks that has generally been ignited over the higher terrain and roll into the valleys, etc...that's its bread and butter.

Awesome breeze and highs in the low 80s with dews that dipped into the upper 50s...5-star summer day.

And no more than a trace of rain today!! And on day 15, the deluge stopped.

Congratulations all around!!!

Love hearing about those 50's dp,   I can't shake the upper 60's, but with a temp of 81.1, feels pretty decent.

Probably fired up from his mulch bed. HRRR ja the right idea. I thought th GFS and SPC WRF might at least argue for iso stuff given a hint at QG forcing, but not so.

Seemed like the HRRR has been a little more realistic with convection the last couple of days. The SPC WRF really seemed to be too bullish on widespread clusters developing.

Yeah I thought it looked bullish too and dumbed it down in my head, but still barely a shwr developed. I did notice KIs drop a bit on the GFS which would indicate drying.
