CT Rain

If the timing of the shortwave on Monday is right, we could see some isolated severe thunderstorms. It's worth it to at least keep an eye on the evolving setup.

Right now based off of 12z GFS and 00z Euro, it comes through around or just after 00z TUE. Speed it up a few hours and things could get interesting.

12z GFS looks like more than isolated severe... that would be a pretty widespread outbreak I think.

Do they even track things like consecutive days or hours of dews over 70? I mean BDL 6+ days without dropping below 70. Does anyone recall something like this?

Why don't you go out and enjoy it instead of tweeting and posting about it 1,000 times.

What you see is what you get as the weeks turn into months

@capecodweather: Long range loop of temps at 850 - no big changes through next 2 weeks: http://t.co/8oXZd2AmCa

yup just 2 weeks ago we we talking about a cool, wet 4th....

The latter shows that fallacy of the former...you just never really know what will happen in the long range.

In the mean time, summer rolls on - It's a warm one with DPs in the 70s:

Nice, looks like we've already come close to exceeding our normal July rainfall  by July 5th with 3-4" around this area.

Will we make it to two straight weeks?  Yesterday was day 13 in a row.

J.Spin is killing me though with over 11" in 13 days.  That's insane.  I've *only* had 7.6" in those 13 days.

I'll take a look into this. It would be an interesting stat.

MOS not looking too good right now...esp up in S NH where for some reason it's had a fetish for spitting out upper 90s to near 100 this summer when it doesn't look reasonable.

We haven't been able to mix out these dews...still 70+ for CON-MHT-ASH. It's tough to run U90s here with dews that high.

Yeah it takes a special (95-esque) kind of setup to do it. Something had to give today... Either mos busts too high or dews mix out.

Everyone I've talked to is hating this summer. Tons of rain and clouds followed by excessive heat and useless high dews. You can't even go out in the evening because of the swarms of mosquitos. Just terrible.

Yeah nothing like last summer which had heat but low dews.  Weeks of sunny weather, too, and with low dews you get some good visibility even at 90 degrees.  I think last July will be my benchmark for a great summer month.  Only scattered precipitation with routine highs 85-90F and lows of 45-55 with deep blue skies.   It was like living in the Rockies or something... hot during the day but beautiful sleeping weather.

This season there's just too much damn moisture around.  No one has seen anything like this up here with regards to the rainfall and moisture.  BTV continues to smash records for precipitation, now already at about normal July rainfall only 4 days into the month.
