dryslot
I remember a big blowdown in Maine in the 70s one summer. We were camping two towns over, wild night with lots of damage. I think we were near West Bethel at a KOA That would be the area that would see one near Gorham, NH, Marine layer is death here

Damage In Tolland
Well a one day reprieve today on the fun dews..before they come right back tomorrow and Sunday. It sucks, but after 3 straight weeks of dews near or over 70 it had to give for 1 day

Damage In Tolland
The pattern ends with a bang. Possibly EML or strong CF with violence. There's not a pattern change. A cold front then reload of heat 3 days later doesn't signify a change..Again..until there's ens support it's just a cold front and reload

Nor do I think they'll be all that oppressive as last weeks. But, summer is summer. Fortuantley, we're nearing the date for the daily decline in average temps. HIPPYVALLEY
Next week looks like it may be the hottest stretch of the summer in NE. Mid -90's possible for many. If dews are in the 70's it's going to be unbearable.

If dews are in the 70's it's going to be unbearable. We'll see. Have you hit 90 yet this year? I got 88.2 on July 5th. Not sure if we beat that next week. If not, good chance will have another 90-free summer as we begin the descent to fall. The rainy conditions this spring/summer are setting the stage for a decent foliage season--hopefully the late summer and early fall will seal the deal. snowman21
Wow Joe Furey @StormFurey37m Oh it feels some much better this AM...Dewpoint down. First time this month Hartford has low below 70. 69 currently.. Both HFD and BDL had a low of 69 on the 9th, so Furey is incorrect on that one. July has never had this many 70+ lows to start off July. 2013's 8 of the first 9 days with lows 70+ is by far the most. Next closest is 4 of the first 9 days of July which occurred in 2010, 1994, 1974, and 1911. This year also has a shot to have the most days with 70+ lows on an annual basis. So far this year BDL has 14 days with lows 70+. The most ever was 20 in 1973. As far as streaks go, these are the top 70+ streaks: 11 days: 2013 - 6/28-7/8 8 days: 1975 - 7/13-7/20 6 days: 1970 - 7/28-8/2 6 days: 1919 - 7/18-7/23 5 days: 12 occurrences and the top 67+ streaks: 18 days: 2013 - 6/24-7/11 17 days: 2010 - 7/6-7/22 13 days: 1938 - 7/26-8/7 12 days: 2003 - 8/3-8/14 12 days: 1972 - 7/13-7/24 12 days: 1912 - 7/5-7/
