The govt loves to code things weird. You would think Williamntic would be WMT Newport NPT or something similar

Some of the logical codes get taken so they get creative. Others go way back to the name of the airport or I believe the original owner. Obviously IAD, JFG, LGA, ORD, etc are all tied into the airport names. Some are head scratchers though. I think they pick letters and numbers out of a hat now for sites like 8B0, 1V4 and, 1P1.

She turned off into a side street...you guys jinxed it.

Hot and summer in all glory. Vacation week 7/29 save 8/2 when I'll work. Minimizing leave for a humanitarian trip to Central America Pday week and family trip oversees in spring.

Nice, Pday week blizzard locked in PD 4, hottest days next week Thrurs Fri Sat AM? near 100 at the BDL Tarmac?

Yeah I decided doing this for others is important to me but acknowledge the risk...lol.

Cool so you're part Native American?  I'm like 1/8th or 1/16th lol.

My Great grandmother on my Moms side was Quapaw OK. I was never raised in native ways and do not consider myself as such. I am a firm believer that the culture you were raised in defines who you are. I am an American with blood roots from many different cultures.

And to confirm so I don't sound like a biatch....I love the activities of warm wx like beach, bbq, pools etc. I just have an added responsibility and the heat doeasn't exactly make the job easier. However, it's the best responsibility I could have.

Before you know it, he'll be sledding with you. Your wife will call out.."don't let him get too cold"....

Wow weird, It's also my great grandmother on my moms side who was native american.

Don't know much about that side of the family though, sadly.  I'm 1/2 Italian with a mix of Irish and French too.

The results of my mother's geneology/family tree research had us at a take.   We found out that my great great grand-mother was Indian -- not American, but from the province where Calcutta is today.

I thought I was 100% NW European but...heh. Nope.   My dad's mother was half German and half southern France.   I really am a mutt!   My dad's father was 100% English going back many generations, and since there is England on my mother's side, I guess that makes the majority of me English, but there's certainly a lot of genetic distraction there.

Indian - weird.

Just wait until next year when he is old enough to start cahllenging you with his will.  Nothing more draining than trying to reason with a toddler on a hot humid day that it's time to go in.

I though my head was going to explode one day last week chasing him around the yard when it was 80/74 but I kept the happy daddy face on. lol

The dominance of English genetics in your family really make the India portion a lot *less* unusual, considering how far back it was and the history between the two people's.

I really love my kids but life is great now that they are all out. Feel like a teenager again.

My sister is obsessed with genealogy. 1/2 Italian with Irish, English, German Dutch and Native mixed in.
