Get out and enjoy summer. Isn't it cool that it can be 90-100f colder in 6 months? Embrace it...it's not good for you to be upset over wx.

There is nothing to enjoy when it's above 90. And for the few minutes I can dip into the water, I have to make sure the little one isn't too hot.

Sad for you friend. I took my 14 month old to The California lower desert in the sure of 1979. 116 and refused ac in the car. He thrives today as do I. Just don't tell your wife and keep out of direct sun for Bryce. I haven't applied sunscreen to my body in years.

ever been to the GON airport? that ASOS sticks out in the middle of a coastal pond right at the waters edge, with multiple non ASOS sites in the area in the upper 70's at the time its plausible. Mine here at work maxed at 78 the same time GON hit 79, since back to 76. It gets stagnant as hell from the sound .

Sounds almost as bad as a site in the middle of a mulch garden, lol.

Its sad that some have to complain on message board instead of dealing with the cards they are dealt and embracing the most humid summer on record

You know how it is, you're always trying to make sure he or she is ok. On the 4th at the beach he wouldn't really eat or nap. Just too dam hot. He did like the water though so that's good! If he were 145 months he'd be a lot better at handling it.

Yea could not wait until mine were walking, they grew up on the beach but the first year they were rarely there if so in a shaded crib.

GON had a TD of 79 at 1810z. Like we said, the south coast will be the most oppressive.

It was a SPECI so I ignored the conversion to 79 and just called it 78 since most of the day they ran 76-78. They can keep that 75+ crap though. It's really rare to get that on an ASOS up here.

It definitelty sticks out, but the 73-75 tds are abundant there.

Max dews this afternoon...

GON 78

UUU 76

WST 75

SNC 75

Pretty nasty near LIS.

I was actually just wondering if the ocean has something to do with those outliers down there.  The SSTs lapping at the SC are in the mid 70s now, and with light wind tending to drift on-shore it may just be steam - so to speak

LIS sucks, period. Go out to the open ocean like Bob did today, soon as you walk over the dune the temps are cooler the dews are less and the wind has a nice chill to it.

I'm walking briskly close behind a young lady with a very high hemline in a loose dress. Wind....don't fail me now!

perv

She turned off into a side street...you guys jinxed it.

Hot and summer in all glory. Vacation week 7/29 save 8/2 when I'll work. Minimizing leave for a humanitarian trip to Central America Pday week and family trip oversees in spring.

Ha, right -- if it were closed on the eastern end it would be our own Red Sea
