Your comment was fine. The patterns are pretty similar. During 2006 the models forecast the frontal boundary west of us but outflow from the initial convection held weak surface boundary farther east and that is where the heavy rain focused.

Today's rain is failing IMBY. :(

Still dropless.

At least I finally got my mostly cloudy though.

If they issued flash flood watches for mostly cloudy, we'd be the jackpot here over the last three days.  6 feet of mostly cloudy, 0.00" of actual precipitation.

EDIT:  Just after I posted, the screen updated to 0.01" - WOW!  Apparently all of the humidity has condensed and merged with some light drizzle to finally turn the bucket over.

Time to start building the ark!  Two of every animal, here I come!

OK, that was unnecessary.  Something about excessive humidity outside sends my sarcasm off the charts.  At this point, I would take anything over this suffocating airmass - even 100/59 would be a nice change.

it is still not moving due east... moving NE

and there is stuff west of Richmond.

Dont you people know how to look at a radar?

There has been rain on radar west of Richmond te last few days and it has all headed ENE. The stuff in Richmond barely affects any of us unless you are on te Delmarva. An yes I'm complaining as it Still hasn't rained out here yet with another flood watch :P

It'll get me first. If you don't hear from me in the next 30 minutes, take cover until the all clear is sounded.

Think it's the same cell that was warned earlier in NC. Kinda meh lately but might look ok.

Other than the fact that the farmers gotta be happy about rain at the end of June and in early July, IMBY totals are less-than-spectacular for past 3 days, given the flash flood advisories and potential:

6/30 = 0.67"

7/01 = 0.17"

7/02 = 0.02"

7/03 = it was raining at 5am, will take readings after work.

We may have had .2" since Friday.  Not that I'm really complaining, since we got almost 3" of rain that day.  It raining this morning, however.

Sure...areas east fo the cities have gotten good rains during this time, but the areawide flash flood watches that have been going on for days *may* have been a bit much.
