EastCoast NPZ
54F for the low. Even colder than I'd hoped. Just incredible for July. Oh, how I can't wait for October!
Ellinwood
So woo storms this weekend? Shear's decent and the low-levels could be worse, but lapse rates above 850mb are meh. Bad frontal timing that puts the best air over the mountains on Saturday and brings in clouds and rain too early on Sunday.
FrederickWX
Most everyone in Ocean City yesterday was bundled up. Raw day. Beaches and pools were empty, which is unreal for late July. Cloudy, upper 60s, and a strong NE wind will do that, I guess. Glad that it will be warmer today.

WinterWxLuvr
going to front royal for tubing today. not lookin too great. :/You're gonna be wet anyway. I hope the recent dry spell has not dropped the water levels. I know in early July the water levels were great. Have fun. Maybe you'll get enough sun to be comfy. WinterWxLuvr
Bingo. Lots of cracks in the garden soil and brown patches on the back lawn. Hope you, MN, and everybody can get luckier this time. Dry really irks me and I hate to see it happen to anybody.

It's been frustrating. It's not so hard to put up with if the temps aren't too bad, but we endured the heat and humidity with absolutely nothing to show for it. MN Transplant
Some like to look for the 850mb freezing line in the fall. Per the NAM initialization, the arrowhead of MN has sub-freezing 850s right now. Entirely possible that if someone stays in the rain all day it will not get out of the 40s. In late July. BlizzardNole
Bingo. Lots of cracks in the garden soil and brown patches on the back lawn. Yech, I hope you get some good rain outta this. We were in that spot in Germantown for a while; all the rains were missing us and we had the big cracks and brown grass. Then suddenly our luck changed and we got 2.4" from training t-storms last Saturday night, and another 1.4 from a direct hit on Monday. But, our grass got so dormant in those three weeks that I STILL haven't cut it for well over two weeks. I am thinking Monday I finally get to it.
