Excellent pop-up downpour on east end of Columbia at 4:45pm.  High today was 91.1 and down to 90.0 with showers ongoing.  Brighter skies all around me.  About 0.04" in 6 or 7 minutes so far.

This puppy seems to be forming basically overhead.  Now getting a few sounds of crackling thunder, up to 0.11 in total, about 10 mins worth.

.55" this afternoon as measured at the nearest wxbug. My gage has more, but I don't trust its accuracy. That's more rain than I've seen in a month. Much needed and appreciated. Also the most lighting (by far) of any storm this season. Reminiscent of last summer's storms.

KOKV reported 0.99 in 20 mins from 5:35 to 5:55.

Raining pretty good up my way right now. Much needed.

It does? I only can remember a few storm events where we lost radar (one was recent though, so maybe that's what you're thinking of?)

Or do you mean it dries up?

It just seems that when I'm most interested in the radar, it goes seemingly forever without updating.

I use the NWS site, so maybe I need a new site?

I think you've got a shot. The south end of that blob just keeps redeveloping as the whole batch shifts east.

Edit: what's been most impressive is the lightning with it.

Yeah we may get it if it holds over that last ridge, otherwise it doesnt happen here lol.  We will see.

This is usually about the time when Sterling radar craps out.

It says it is down for maintenance

Good gosh, that looper is ancient. At least get with 5 years ago with the weather underground looper. Click and drag on the image to zoom, controls/looper is on the right.

I can't speak for other data sources but I'm using Allisonhouse with GR 2 Analyst and have had uninterrupted data. So the radar itself is not down. Also - might be your internet cache or something similar.

Must be just on NWS page - I am getting uninterrupted data via Allisonhouse.

I haven't had any problems tonight.
